Comparing and Contrast Lease Verses Purchase

...Comparing and Contrasting Lease verses Purchase Options Bridgette Chambers ACC/400 Accounting for Decision Making November 20, 2013 Frederick Thull Comparing and Contrasting Lease verses Purchase Options In order for one to explain the difference between leases verses purchase option one would need to explain both options. One would explain what is debt financing, and provide two examples. Also, one would need to explain what equity financing is as well as giving two examples and last which alternative capital structure is more advantageous and why. If one decided that they do not wanted to take on investors and wanted total control of the business yourself, one may want to pursue debt financing in order to start up a business. One would tap your own sources of funds first by using personal loans, home equity, and even credit cards. A business loan is another option. Debt financing is when a company borrows money that must be repaid but with interest. This will not affect the ownership of the company. Two examples of such would be Issued Bonds and Line of credit. With a line of credit, this is a bank loan where a business can draw out funds whenever money is needed. In Issue Bonds the business can issue bonds as for of debt financing these bonds are marketable securities. Debt financing allows one to have control of your own destiny regarding the business. If you finance your business using debt, the interest you repay on your loan is tax-deductible. This means......

Financial Verses Managerial Accounting

...Fundamentals of Accounting: Managerial verses Financial Accounting Fundamentals of Accounting acct122 Fundamentals of Accounting: Managerial verses Financial Accounting What has the organization in its focus; futuristic planning, financial control, and data based decision making affecting its reports and suggestions; and an emphasis on relevance and timeliness in its decision making (2012)? The answer to this question is managerial accounting. According to J. W. Jones (2013), a retired managerial accountant, her job and other positions with the title are responsible for reporting financial information to the company’s administration and parties outside of her organization such as stockholders or creditors; however, her focus was the internal accounting services and needs of the business’s management. Mrs. Jones confirms there is a difference between managerial and financial accounting. Her career choice was managerial accounting which specialized in helping gather and communicate the information needed to set the company’s long term objectives and goals for cost control, revenue strengths and weaknesses, and profit data statistics within in local departments, regional and often territorial plants. At times, Mrs. Jones found herself working with certain data regarding customer groups and how they would be affecting that business segment in the future. This differed from financial accounting in that the latter would handle the matter from a historical......

Competency Differences Adn Verses Bsn

...Running head: COMPETENCY DIFFERENCES ADN VERSES BSN Competency Differences Between The Associate Degree Nurse and The Baccalaureate Degree Nurse Kris Scott Grand Canyon University Nursing 430 Professional Dynamics June 8, 2014 The purpose of this paper is to discuss the differences in competencies and decision making skills of nurses that are prepared at an Associate Degree level (ADN) verses those prepared at a Baccalaureate Degree level (BSN). . Competency Differences Between The Associate Degree Nurse and The Baccalaureate Degree Nurse The typical ADN program is usually 2-3 years, whereas the BSN program is 4 years. While both programs competently make use of technical skills and provide general nursing care, the “baccalaureate programs emphasize evidence-based clinical practice and leadership through coursework that includes research, statistics, population-based care, nursing management, and the humanities.” (Haverkamp & Ball, 2013) Long debated is the entry level educational requirements for the nursing profession; evidence has proven that higher education levels ultimately leads to safer and more efficient care. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) reviewed and discussed 8 different studies that linked higher education to safer care. These studies showed a “decrease in mortality rates” as well as “fewer medication errors” (AACN Fact sheet, 2013).......

Debt Verses Equity Financing

...Debt Verses Equity Financing Dean Lilyquist ACC/400 September 29, 2014 Rangan Giri Debt vs. Equity Financing The judgment to rent or buy significantly depends upon requirement as well as financial position. For instance, an organization may rent a piece of property or equipment in case the requirement for such will be short-term. A company has leased a business place for recent years while they were buying as well as building their long term office. Additionally, while finishing a building job, in case an additional machine is required, a business may lease the machine for much lower than having to buy. Some companies may just require a particular machine for one task; therefore a purchase is much too costly. Currently, if a business would see where they have required leasing a particular machine many times, the company will roll the lease into a purchase. What is Debt Financing? Debt financing is when a firm raises working capital through by selling bonds, bills, or notes to individuals and institutional investors. This method allow for the individuals or institutions to become the company’s creditors versus that of the traditional financial institution. Debt financing is desirable by many individuals as it is traditionally a safe way of investing and the investment typically carries a guaranteed rate of return in the form of interest on the principal invested. The debt and interest will be repaid on a set schedule according to the terms of the bond,...

Sedation Verses Euthanasia

...Sedation verses Euthanasia The ethical principle of non-malefiecense is the duty to do no harm. This is promoted by doing three interventions. First intervention is avoiding deliberate harm, risk of harm that occurs during the performance of nursing actions. The second intervention is considering the degree of risk permissible. The third intervention is determining whether the use of technological advances provides benefits that outweigh the risks. The ethical principle of beneficence is the doing or active promotion of good. This is done by providing health benefits to the patients, balancing the benefits and risks of harm, and considering how a patient can be best helped. The ethical principle of Justice is the promotion of equity or fairness in every situation a nurse encounters. The two nursing implications that promote justice are ensuring fair allocation of resources, and determining the order in which clients should be treated. ("Ethical Principles," January 2011, p. screen) There are several nursing ethical arguments on Euthanasia. Those that are against mercy killing have the ethical arguments that euthanasia might not be promoting the patient’s best interest, accepting that it means acknowledging that some people are more important than others, weakening the society’s respect for the holiness of life, and arguing that if voluntary euthanasia were to become legal nationwide, then most probably involuntary euthanasia will be committed at a higher level. The......

Some Verses from the Holy Qur'an

...believed, when you [wish to] privately consult the Messenger, present before your consultation a charity. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not [the means] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Al-Mujaadila: 12) 55) O you who have believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not [yet] reached puberty among you ask permission of you [before entering] at three times: before the dawn prayer and when you put aside your clothing [for rest] at noon and after the night prayer. [These are] three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these [periods], for they continually circulate among you - some of you, among others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise. (An-Noor: 58) 56) Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." (Az-Zumar: 10) 57) O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves, for they will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason. (Aali Imraan: 118) 58) O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the......

Peer Coaching Verses Traditional Coaching

...Peer coaching verses traditional coaching Peer coaching has being observed from this abstract to have being far productive than the traditional mode of teaching more so in the three parameters that were tested. Their were instances whereby peer coaching was found to be not a good tool to use or may present unwanted results. Pre service teachers lack experience so when peer reviewing they may give wrong suggestions leading one to wrong conclusions or direction to take in the future, such as incorporating in his lessons materials which the peer reviewer felt was missing yet it might not be required. She/he may include a certain degree of bias in his assessment and suggestions which will lead to his suggestion lacking much usefulness and relevancy, like when a peer reviewed teacher in his or her own opinion insist that the other uses a certain technique that he/she did not use in her lesson and feels it’s the cause of why her/his lesson didn’t reach his objectives. Note she/he didn’t use the technique yet she is vouching for it (quoted from audio tape no.5B extract). While we appreciate that peer coaching leads to instant “results”, those results are not a product of proper analysis due to the urgency by which they are given-at the end of a lesson, they luck in depth unlike those that the traditional preservice teacher students will get from an experienced supervisor and an experienced teacher , Traditional coaching does not provide the student with enough interactions......

Academic Verses Devotional Study

...Ansley Wilson Survey of the Old Testament February 5, 2014 Essay Assignment #1 Academic Verses Devotional Study Studying the Old Testament in the bible in an academic setting and a devotional setting, are honestly completely different. There are certain characteristics that are the same, however, for the most part they are not the same. In this paper I intend to discuss what makes the academic and devotional settings similar, what makes them different, and also why it is important to study both of them. When viewing the bible in these manners it gives you a better understanding of his word, his intentions, and his love for us. To start off you need to understand how the bible came about. It started out as human communication. It was verbal until it was finally written out and when it was written out it was still meant to be “heard”. The Bible gives us instructions and laws that we are to follow. This is something that the academic Study really helps you understand. Certain things happen in a Chronological order just like history that you learn in an academic study at school. When you are able to observe the time period and why it happened you can conclude more due to the information you have by studying everything about it. This is great information for you to use later when you have your own personal devotional study. You have a better understanding of the message God wants to give you when you know the historical aspect. Studying the Bible in an academic......

Mtv Now Verses Before

...were not very many shows at all but the ones that there were more about music news, concerts upcoming events, or occasionally a controversial show such as, Beavis and Butthead. Which in its day posed a problem for the rather conservative. The rest of the time it was all straight music and videos. Nowadays instead of being able to watch all your favorite videos on MTV you must have access to the Internet with a lot of people do not have. If there is access the Internet you can watch all of your videos on you tube. I even took a small survey and fourteen out of twenty people I asked don’t even remember seeing videos on music television nor do they remember sex and profanity prohibited which proves to me that in music television now sucks verses before. It has been at least ten years since I can remember watching on television a channel that actually played music videos. Another big difference compared to back in those days is that people still had some values and morals that made Beavis and Butthead not very accepted by the public but it was only one show. Not unlike The Simpsons although they aired on Fox. Anymore many of family values are toast of window and forgotten. Now it is almost the opposite and the more on unacceptable you are the more accepted the behavior is on TV. It seems that television networks such as this have helped to condition a new society too totally except something unfamiliar has being the new normal. Change from before to now would be that before......

Bible Verses for Salvation

...This is my gift to you. The gift of salvation was bought with the Blood of Christ, given to me, and presented to you. I pray these verses do not rest with you but are moved out into the world through you. Not as intellect, but as love. I pray your relationship with Jesus grows as well as your love for the people of this world. Do not lose hope. With Love in Christ John 6:44 New International Version (NIV) 44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. John 3:16 New International Version (NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans 3:10-12 New International Version (NIV) 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11     there is no one who understands;     there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away,     they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good,     not even one.”[a] John 14:6 New International Version (NIV) 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Revelation 3:20 New International Version (NIV) 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. Lease Verses Purchase Paper

...Lease Verses Purchase Paper Jane Jones FIN/370 February 23, 2015 John Doe Lease Verses Purchase Paper When it comes time for a company to make a substantial investment, they are faced with the decision of whether to lease or purchase. Businesses need to take into consideration many factors when they are making these ideal decisions such as; the tax ramifications, time, money and what is best for the growth of the company. It is important to have a financial plan in place that will examine not only the benefits, but also the possible potential losses when making these important decisions. There are many relevant factors to consider in making a lease versus purchase decision. There are the obvious cash outflows to consider such as rent payments or loan payments and initial outlay. There are repairs and maintenance to factor. There are also tax-deductible expenses such as interest payments, tax savings such as depreciation expense to calculate. Other important factors include the duration that the equipment will be in use, the interest rate for a loan, and residual or salvage value of the equipment. Another factor to consider is the production issues that are based on consumer demands for these new products. Customers’ needs continually change so it is important that the right decisions are made that will meet those needs without affecting the organization in a negative way. Under some circumstances, leasing will be the best option while in other instances purchasing......

The Satanic Verses

...discontinuous, metamorphic, -because when you throw everything up in the air anything becomes possible -- wayupthere, at any rate, changes took place in delirious actors that would have gladdened the heart of old Mr. Lamarck: under extreme environmental pressure, characteristics were acquired. What characteristics which? Slow down; you think Creation happens in a rush? So then, neither does revelation . . . take a look at the pair of them. Notice anything unusual? Just two brown men, falling hard, nothing so new about that, you may think; climbed too high, got above themselves, flew too close to the sun, is that it? That's not it. Listen: Mr. Saladin Chamcha, appalled by the noises emanating from Gibreel Farishta's mouth, fought back with verses of his own. What Farishta heard wafting across the improbable night sky was an old song, too, lyrics by Mr. James Thomson, seventeenhundred to seventeen-forty-eight. ". . . at Heaven's command," Chamcha carolled through lips turned jingoistically redwhiteblue by the cold, "arooooose from out the aaaazure main." Farishta, horrified, sang louder and louder of Japanese shoes, Russian hats, inviolately subcontinental hearts, but could not still Saladin's wild recital: "And guardian aaaaangels sung the strain." Let's face it: it was impossible for them to have heard one another, much less conversed and also competed thus in song. Accelerating towards the planet, atmosphere roaring around them, how could they? But let's face this, too:......

Culbertson Verse Brodsky

...Culbertson verse Brodsky After reading the case Culbertson verse Brodsky, I believe that Brodsky did not give valid consideration that makes Culbertson’s promise enforceable. Culbertson and Brodsky had signed an option contract. According to Wikipedia, an option contract is promise which meets the requirements for the formation of a contract and limits the promisor's power to revoke an offer (paragraph 1). In other words, the contract must be made with the interest of both parties, and their contract was not. It was strictly in the interest of “protecting” Brodsky. The contract stated that Brodsky is to give the bank a check for $5,000 for “earnest money” to hold the land for up to six months. However, the bank was not to cash the check unless, he agreed to purchase the land. By allowing Brodsky to do so, this meant that Culbertson had to take the land off the market causing him to miss out on potential buyers if Brodsky decided that he did not want the land after he had ran his necessary test on it. It also, meant that Brodsky was able to get a “free” six month look at the land at the expense of Culbertson because Brodsky would have not loss any money if he chose not to purchase the land. Brodsky argued that the option contract was in good faith. Though the contract was made in good faith, it was made in personal satisfaction for Brodsky not Culbertson. Yes, Brodsky agreed that if the test showed the land would work he would purchase, but what if it did......

Nature Verses Nurture

...Nature Verses Nurture The discussion on the importance of heredity and environment in human development is not new. The nature verses nurture question has been debated for years (Psychology). Nurture side of the debate considers all the environmental influences on an individual after conception. While the nature side of the debate focus on nature that which is inherited, or know as genetics. The nature verse nurture discussion has been a part of the history of psychology that goes back to Francis Galton. Galton was influenced by the book, The Origin of Species written by his cousin, Charles Darwin. The Origin of Species has been criticized for over simplifying two theories of why a lifestyle of wealth, education and privilege seems to be passed on to biological children. Galton takes credit for the phrase in his English Men of Science: Their Nature and Nurture, first published in 1874. In this book he states that nature and nurture are, "a convenient jingle of words, for it separates under two distinct heads the innumerable elements of which personality is composed. Nature is all that a man brings with himself into the world and nurture is every influence that affects him after his birth” (p.12). It is thought that how one is nurtured is what controls the psychological aspects of child development and the concept of growth applies to the biological facets of human life.  When infants bonds to the individual(s) bestowing love and affection, she/he has received,......
