...Statement Of Purpose Admission Committee Every year the first step towards the successful completion of an academic program is completed by the admission committee by selecting the best talents across the country which makes the academic committee an integral part of the institute's success. The admission committee is also responsible to make the admission process as smooth as possible for the incoming batch and speaking with my own experience the Great Lakes ADCOM has been doing this flawlessly. So I want to be the part of this committee where I can contribute as an team player as well as learn from the experience of the committee members. Statement of Purpose

...STATEMENT OF PURPOSE I could not escape the influence of my surroundings as it gradually dawned on me that I was destined to be part of the business and economics world. Seeing my father as a successful business owner with real estate portfolios had a decisive impact on my life. He introduced me to a world of finance, accounting and banks through his business and helped me to develop constructively. I realized that understanding the interplay of business and related aspects of economics can be critical. Russia experienced a financial crisis in the year 1998, where there was a total collapse of the banking system declaring bankruptcy, devaluation of the currency. Businesses of many families suffered, including mine. As a result there was a strong necessity for a stable economic market. The common theory of how the legal framework exacerbate the crisis and why financial regulations which failed to execute did not put the right checks and balances failed to convince me. Behind these events lay a principle that, in turn, fueled and increased my interest in economics and reinforced my conviction to pursue a degree in management. During my undergraduate program I gained significant understanding of micro and macroeconomics, global financial systems and market structures. I became proficient in credit management, banking systems, monetary and economic policies. My ongoing interest further led me to work on several projects such as analyzing the relationship between market......

Statement of Purpose

...Motivation I cannot trace back the moment when I first heard this statement that the more energy from sunlight strikes the earth in an hour than all of the energy consumed on the planet in one year but I wondered at that time, why are we having energy problems on earth. This was the start of fascination to look keenly into the problem of making alternate energy sources more practical. This fascination about renewable energy made me think more and more with open mind about the available large amount of energy which is gift of the nature to us. If we have made our life worse by not taking care of the nature then to use nature positively is the only way for us to save our planet. But I always wondered why we could not still use these sources for all our needs. But I knew if I had to go into the root of this thing, my aspiration should be coupled with the strong technical base and other necessary dependent aspects. In my third year I took course on “Renewable Energy” that gave me knowledge about different kinds of renewable energy systems. The course structure covered major part of it - Solar Energy, Wind Energy and Bio-Energy etc. And it was more like the base for my future endeavor. Fortunately having centre of Excellence in Energy in our college (Indian Institute of Technology Rajasthan) gave me several opportunities to get exposure of Energy field. In the 5th semester, The Centre of Excellence in Energy at IIT Rajasthan conducted a Renewable Energy Consortium in 2010 in......

In recent years, the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the realities of different international arenas. I am unique, and uniquely fortunate, to have a diverse background both academically and professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures, and languages. As a native of Asia, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets of this region, and as such I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by undertaking study in the MBA program at your institution.   From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. The international hotel management course I joined was run by Goodwell University in the UK, and due to the experience of the instructors and the overall sophistication of the program, I received an incredibly valuable learning experience, beyond that which I could have received elsewhere. My undergraduate coursework at Goodwell University focused on management marketing, accounting, and various aspects of tourism. I received broad......

Statement of Purpose

...Department of Journalism and Mass Communications Name of applicant: Mr. John Smith Statement of Purpose I have chosen to apply to the department of journalism at Kent State University, because I wish to accomplish what has long been my dream - become a fully-fledged journalist. Here is what led me to this aspiration. All my achievements so far have been driven by example. Back at high school I admired my Physics teacher, who was an exceptional person. He turned every class into a spectacular event with a mesmerizing scenario. Outside school, I revered my tennis instructor, whose tutoring in no way limited itself to game practice but was instilling a handier skill - the skill of living. Although I devoted a large share of my time to sports and eventually studied to be a teacher of Physical Education, I felt my academic background would be incomplete without devoting more time to mind after spending several years training the body. Yet, long before that I was fascinated by Vladimir Pozner, the journalist who then hosted the so-called "TV bridges" with the United States. Ever since then he has dominated the Russian TV-scape. I marveled at the mastery that he demonstrated leading the discussion and ease, with which he switched from Russian into English and back. This was the first time when I became interested in learning the language and started to fantasize about a career in journalism. However, the death of my parents and subsequent illness of my grandmother kept......

Early days of my student life instilled in me a liking for technical and experimentation oriented field. I took keen interest to develop in me, an inquisitive attitude engraving a deep rooted love for science and mathematics scoring over 82% in my high school and 73% in the higher secondary sections with above 75% marks in science and mathematics. I have done a certified course in Microsoft Office. I have obtained Certificate of Merit for computer programming from NIIT. The immense opportunities, research prospective and newest innovations in medical field drove my attention away from all other realms of technology. I decided to pursue my Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering that could link me with both engineering and medical fields respectively. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor Of technology degree in BME from a very well established university. Statement of Purpose

...Sample Statement of Purpose: MBA The term “globalism” has become overused, and often misused. In fact, we might say that it has actually been devalued to the level of the everyday language of buzzword-brandishing marketing pundits. Such freewheeling usage has perhaps prompted many a CEO (or future CEO) to launch into a global plan or strategy without proper consideration of the demands and dynamics of the international marketplace. Many would-be globetrotters neglect the acquisition of language skills, knowledge of foreign trade and tax laws, accounting standards, etc., all of which are necessary to effectively “go global.” Superficial knowledge only leads to failure. This has, indeed, happened, and while there is no doubt that neglecting to capture the gains achievable in overseas markets is equally suicidal, misguided attempts at competing globally (along with rapidly developing opportunities in the global marketplace) have placed a dramatic premium on individuals who take the time to properly train themselves in international business. For me, the Columbia MBA is a significant component of this training. I foresee my own career moving in the direction of European/American business, initially from an advisory perspective (i.e. investment banking or consulting) and ultimately from a leadership role within a manufacturing entity, preferably a start-up venture. This prophecy, in part, has evolved from my past experiences in western and eastern Europe which, in turn, have......
