The Global Cultural Wave: Eco-awareness

Eco-friendly goods are going mainstream in the Philippine market nowadays because of the growing concerns over global environmental problems. The effects of actual, first-hand experiences such as Ondoy & Habagat, among other recent calamities caused by environmental negligence, has compelled Filipinos to embrace environmental consciousness. This is a mindset born out of the realization that human life and the preservation of the environment/the planet are very closely interconnected realities. One cannot flourish without the other. The upsurge of various eco-friendly products and services is a reaction the growing clamor to adopt a green lifestyle. However, with the great variety of products and services, as well as layers…...

Thus, there is a great customer loyalty seen by Amtron. NLL too has a great deal of goodwill in the market. The situation in front of NLL is whether to sponsor for Amtron’s event which would be attended by the sales and service achievers of Amtron. This was termed as a great marketing opportunity by AMTRON. It would be attended by all of Amtron’s executive marketing staff. The situation can be divided into two decisions: A. To sponsor the event Sponsorship can be given in 3 different ways: i) Grand Reception ($50,000) ii) Golf Tournament ($20,000) iii) Grand Banquet ($90,000) Sponsoring the event won’t cost NLL much. Amtron placed an order of $20 million in the previous year. The sponsorship they give Amtron would be a small fraction of revenue earned from Amtron. Also, NLL believes in keeping strong customer relationship which would be tested in the situation. However this decision could also pose as a problem for NLL.......

Situational Analysis and Marketing Plan - Coke

...Situational Analysis and Marketing Plan: Coca-Cola Steve Lenart MKTG 730: Marketing Analysis Foundation (F14) I. History The Coca-Cola Company may be one of the world's most recognized companies and it all started back in 1886. Dr. John S. Pemberton was a pharmacist in Atlanta, Georgia. He created a “soft drink” that utilized flavored syrup combined with carbonated water (Coca Cola History, 2014). The first people that tried it considered it, “excellent.” Now that he knew he had a winning recipe, he needed a clever name. He was discussing names with his bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, when they came upon a breakthrough. The term Coca-Cola comes from two of the drink's ingredients. The recipe called for “coca” from the coca plant, and also used “kola” nuts. Just like that, the name of the product was born. Pemberton passed away in 1888, only two years after creating Coca-Cola. Before is death, he sold portions of his business to many parties and the majority of the business to Asa Candler. Mr. Candler was responsible for distributing the product beyond Atlanta, Georgia. Demand quickly grew, and a soda fountain owner is credited with first implementing a bottling system for Coca-Cola. The unique contoured bottle was trademarked in 1977. The company is still based out of Atlanta, Georgia, but by today's standards is an extremely large, multi-national conglomerate that has tremendous reach throughout the globe. It would be very foolish when......

Amazon’s management team is led by “clear thinking and a cohesive vision, even if it takes a while for rivals to figure out Amazon’s motives.”Amazon Fresh’s most marketable feature that will resonate with customers the most is that it offers local products. Amazon Fresh works with small business, which gives customers“more of a local flavor than places like Wal-Mart.”Thanks to Amazon’s close relationship with its suppliers allows it to offer the lowest overall prices for household items. Weaknesses Amazon Fresh is currently in a few cities. Amazon Fresh will need a lot of time to expand. Think about how long it took Wal-Mart to expand. Amazon Fresh must also built dedicated refrigerated warehouses to be able to handle fresh fruit and frozen items. With properties over valued in Canada it will limit Amazon’s ability to expand. Amazon Fresh may have trouble hiring people because workers have told Business Insider that it’s a “bruising workplace where employees are asked to harshly critique their......
