Introduction
The Internet has progressed in leaps and bounds since the concept was first conceived in the early sixties. Its popularity has grown phenomenally, so much that it was proposed for the Nobel Peace Prize 2010, because of its capability to improve information sharing and improved dialogues between different cultures. The possibility of sharing significant amount of information and accessing it regardless of geographic barriers, is one of the key point of the Internet success. The world is just a click away. This has important implications in businesses workplaces and academic institutions, because the Internet is a major channel for researching. The Internet strengths and shortcomings when used as a research tool, are really important to know to achieve a good result.
One of the main advantages using the Internet as research tool is that we can have immediate access to huge amounts of information in regards to a particular topic. Search engines are able to retrieve a list of websites ranked according to their relevance to that particular subject in just a few seconds. But relevance is practically the only parameter considered by search engines, this means that selecting useful information can be time-consuming and often non-productive without thorough screening
The disadvantage of information on the Internet is that its reliability can’t always be trusted. Inexpert people might confuse the high relevance of a source, with its reliability. Relevance is not an indication of reliability, judging reliability is crucial when taking advantage of the Internet, with all its diversity of information. These days more institutional sites and libraries are present on the Internet, giving the researcher the chance of accessing certified and accredited sources. Books provided in a digital format are easy to search and download, but many resources are still only…...

...The world is full of many of mans’ accomplishments that both amaze us and are astounding. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are some of the most incredible works that have ever been created. They can be amazing for many different reasons. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are all judged by their artistry, engineering skill, construction and sheer scale (Berg, October 2, 2001). In the following paragraphs, I will examine four of the most remarkable man made creations in the ancient world. The Temple of Artemis is an amazing example of human ingenuity. The temple is a Greek building made up of 127 marble columns that are 60 feet tall each (Browne). It was designed by Chersiphron, and erected at the expense of Croesus, the fabulously wealthy king of Lydia in 550 B.C (Brown). I took nearly 120 years to complete because of its’ sheer size and details that were carved into many of the columns. It is the largest temple of the ancient world because of the competitive nature that the Greeks had with the rest of the world during that time. What is amazing however is that it has been rebuilt three times. Its’ final demise was in 262 A.D (The British Museum). Another amazing ancient wonder was the Statue of Zeus that was created in 432 B.C, very close to the time when the Temple of Artemis was built. It is a statue of Zeus that was made of the ivory and gold-plated bronze. It was erected at Olympia for the ancient Olympic Games that were said to start in 776 B.C....

In 2004 it was owned by the Ito-Yokado group, which also managed a chain of supermarkets in Japan and owned a majority share in Southland, the company managing 7-Eleven in the United States. On September 1, 2005, Seven & I Holdings Co., Ltd., was established as the holding company for Seven-Eleven Japan, Ito-Yokado, and Denny’s Japan. Seven-Eleven Japan realized a phenomenal growth between the years of 1985 and 2007. During that period, the number of stores increased from 2,299 to 12,034, annual sales increased from 386 billion to 2,574 billion yen; and net income increased from 9 billion to 91.5 billion yen. Additionally, the company’s return on equity (ROE) averaged around 14 percent between 2000 and 2004. In 2004, Seven-Eleven Japan represented Japan’s largest retailer in terms of operating income and number of stores.
