Another issue has been, maintaining two jobs, going to school, studying, and raising a family. I had to stop working at my second job because it was affecting me academically and physically.

Although I have these issues, I continue to stay positive and have not given up on pursing my goals. One of my greatest accomplishments was successfully completing my (DEGREE/CERTIFICATION) in (DATE) with (College). The current salary of a (YOUR CURRENT POSITION/TITLE) is not sufficient to raise and support a family as a single parent. The career is high in demand with a lot of potential overtime but this affects me academically, mentally, and making it difficult to raise my children alone and meeting their needs. Global Financial Crisis Sample, Not Original

...that more than four years after the September 2008 financial meltdown on Wall Street, there is no end in sight to the economic crisis. It points as well to the extent to which the economic policies pursued by governments and central banks around the world have benefited the wealthiest social layers at the expense of working people. This is summed up in one set of statistics presented in the report. While economic growth has stalled or turned negative in much of the world since the bank released its previous report in June, stock prices have soared. Stock markets in the so-called “developing countries” are up by 12.6 percent over the past six months, while equity markets in the “high-income” economies of North America, Europe and Japan have risen by 10.7 percent. The MSCI All-Country World Index has jumped by 17 percent since the end of 2011. The combination of massive bank bailouts, virtually free and unlimited credit for banks and financial institutions, and austerity for the working class has served to prop up the financial system and further enrich the ruling elite by inflating financial asset values, but has done nothing to revive the real economy. On the contrary, the fact that economic growth continues to stagnate despite vast subsidies to the banks and investment houses speaks to the fundamental and systemic character of the economic crisis. Moreover, the measures taken to avert a descent into deflation and financial chaos, such as printing trillions of dollars and......

Sample Operational Financial

...Sample Operational and Financial Analysis Report Financial Analysis and Assessment Sample Company Industry: Contract Research Organization Periods: One fiscal year against the previous fiscal year LIQUIDITY Generally, what is the company's ability to meet obligations as they come due? In this case, the company's liquidity position is about average for the industry in which it operates. Having average liquidity means that, generally, there are adequate liquid assets relative to short-term obligations. This does not necessarily mean that the firm will never have trouble paying the bills, but it indicates that as of this specific Balance Sheet date, the company is in a reasonable position. However, it is always important to keep in mind that liquidity is a volatile statistic that can move from good to poor very quickly. For this reason, it is more important to watch trends than raw data in this area. As of these two discrete dates, the company's liquidity trend is downward, so managers will probably want to examine the reasons for this shift and make sure that liquid resources are being used in the best ways for the company. For example, does the company have an adequate line of credit set up? Remember that typically, increasing sales (as this company has done) demands cash resources. Liquidity is the challenge that is never solved. Here are some additional ways the company might improve liquidity: 1) Bill customers as quickly as possible after service has been rendered.......

Public Assistance

...Vicky Ordonez Comp I 12-15-13 Public Assistance Public Assistance is a government program design to be a relief to promote the well being of people in need. The government takes money from working individuals in the form of taxes and distributes it to assist parents with dependent children, senior citizens and families who earn below average levels of income. Though this effort is beneficial for many families, it is also misused and abused by many receiving it. Public assistance abuse and misuse not only impacts those states where welfare is being abuse, but also impacts every working citizen that taxes are being deducted from their payroll. The more individuals the government has to support, the larger the deductions will be from their paycheck. From the greatest to the latest generation, the public assistance system has relied on rising taxes to fund the program. Public assistance was implemented to help those in need until they can become a self-sufficient individual and should not be use as a permanent income. Some argue that Public assistance is effective for many individuals that are not financially stable, by their own choice, or by uncontrollable circumstances to be provided with public assistance. However others might say that welfare is now destroying the American culture and creating dependent people, who learned to abuse a privilege that comes with living in America. Public assistance is a system that was created to be use as a temporary......

Sample Financial Assessment

...Financial Assessment Sales Projecting sales for Sesame is a difficult proposition as it is a relatively new idea in a young industry; thus generating a high variability in sales probabilities. The variation is sales will stem from how consumers perceive the brand and the effectiveness of the product. The most accurate way to predict sales is to use data from similar products in the industry, along with data from the target market to create an accurate forecast. Reasonable estimates suggest that a low of 20,000 units could be sold in the first year, with a high of 30,000. Considering the low price point of the product, and the benefit of simplicity, it appears completely justified to have sales numbers in this range. Using sales data from competitors allows Sesame to see whether or not consumers accept the product and if it is able to compete with others in the industry. Using this high low analysis gives an indication of whether or not the company can be profitable if sales were to fall below desired levels. Fixed Costs Website - Operating a website is extremely simple, cheap, and efficient because of the abundance of hosted solutions available. GoDaddy, the world’s largest host of domains, provides an ecommerce solution for $27 a month, and allows for unlimited online transactions. Foreign Assistance

...James Sturgill April 14,2014 Research Paper: Foreign Assistance The government needs to solve the problem of wasteful spending in regards to its use of foreign aid. While it has been a practice for the U.S. to provide foreign aid to other countries for national security purposes, wasteful spending in a time when the U.S. already runs a large deficit needs to stop. I recommend the cutting of foreign aid to foreign nations and in turn setting up an economic investment fund aimed to help countries economies specifically; this is the proper policy because humanitarian groups will always help the impoverished and spending money on foreign aid to help corrupt leaders needs to stop. Foreign aid is a controversial subject because many people have different opinions on how foreign aid should be used and if it is actually beneficial to countries. The American public for instance does not realize that only 1.1% of the U.S. Federal Budget goes towards foreign aid, rather the public believes a quarter of the U.S. budget is spent on foreign aid (Bristol, 2011, p.532). Foreign aid is also controversial because it is hard to measure the success of the aid, since most foreign aid goes to countries that have instability within their government. Foreign aid is important because the U.S. strives to be humanitarian when dealing with impoverished countries. This humanitarian effort, while seemingly good is still controversial because in 2010 humanitarian groups spent more money in their...

...interview questions. 4. Prepare for the interview. 5. Conduct the interview. 6. Document the interview. 7. Evaluate the interview. C. Document Review Although interviews are an extremely important method of obtaining information, I would very much like to investigate the current system documentation. Document review can present a better understanding of how the current system is supposed to work. Due to the fact that most of the HR processes of Riordan are done manually, it is expected that these documentations may not be up to date. Forms can change or be discontinued, and documented procedures often are modified or eliminated. Copies of actual forms and operating documents currently in use would be obtained, in addition to document samples during interviews with the people who perform these procedures. The documentation might not be up-to-date, so I would use follow-up interviews to check with users to confirm that I am receiving accurate and complete information. D. Observation The observation of current operating procedures is another fact-finding technique. Seeing the system in action gives additional perspective and a better understanding of system procedures. Personal observation also enables the verification of statements made in interviews and determine whether procedures really operate as they are described. E. Questionnaires and Surveys A questionnaire, also called a survey, is a document containing a number of standard questions that can be sent to many......

Keywords: Stakeholders, Financial Aid, Agreement, Institutions of Higher Education. Introduction Most students in institutions of higher learning especially full-time students spent most of their time in classes and may not have sufficient time to engage in income generating activities. However, these students need funds to meet their daily requirements which can only be achieved through financial aid programs. According to the handbook for Financial Aid Officers, the concept of financial aid started long ago where it involved the students getting assistance from a benefactor. The assistance included tuition fees and borrowing books and a room to study. Financial aid has since then developed to date where......

...UNIT 101 – FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LECTURER NAME TOPIC NAME Financial Analysis SUBMISSION DATE: STUDENT NAME: STUDENT ID: I EXECUTIVE SUMMARY With steady sales in 2012, Orica's performance for the 2012 financial year looked promising. Analysing the Orica Financial Report 2012 shows that although sales were high, the expenses increased for the year, and their net profit dropped considerably. This report analyses Orica's overall performance for 2012. Utilising the data provided by their Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement, the financial analysis ratios: Liquidity, Efficiency, Profitability, Financing and Investment ratios, are all calculated and analysed to present their financial standing at the end of the year. Comparing the relationships of these ratios reveals that Orica decreased their liquidity, but suffered lower profitability with heavy influences from Minova’s impairment of goodwill. With high asset utilisation and stable efficiency, Orica should focus on improving their maintenance and reliability by addressing the Kooragang plant shutdown. Furthermore, Orica is financing more with debt than equity which introduces some risk to the company given their higher expenses for 2012. Finally, the investment ratios indicate that Orica could be poised for high growth with a stable return, but should first focus on maximising their plants and equipment.
