Bullying Report
Bullying is an issue to study in human development because it can lead to physical injury, social problems, emotional problems, and even death. Children and adolescents who are bullied are at increased risk for mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, headaches, and problems adjusting to school. Bullying also can cause long-term damage to self-esteem. Children and adolescents who are bullies are at increased risk for substance use, academic problems, and violence to others later in life. Children or adolescents who are both bullies and victims suffer the most serious effects of bullying and are at greater risk for mental and behavioral problems than those who are only bullied or who are only bullies. As counselors we will found that unlike traditional forms of bullying, youth who are bullied electronically such as by computer or cell phone are at higher risk for depression than the youth who bully them. It will be surprising; we will find that cyber victims were at higher risk for depression than were cyber bullies or bully-victims those who both bully others and are bullied themselves, which was not found in any other form of bullying. We most agree that what sets bullying apart from mean behavior is that bullies intend to harm their targets. There’s also an imbalance of power and the acts are usually repeated. Lets understand the three components. Power imbalance is when there is an imbalance of power and it is hard for the target to defend himself against the bully’s attacks. This difference in power can be physical or psychological. For instance, in cases of physical imbalances, the bully may be older, larger or stronger. Or, there may be a gang of bullies targeting the victim. Meanwhile, psychological…...

...Plesiosaurs or just a big fish? Over time, we have been provided with mysteries that we just can’t solve. We have the most advanced technologies and the smartest individuals working with them, but there isn’t any way to come up with the solid factual evidence needed to give an answer. The particular mystery I have chosen has a museum dedicated to it. I am talking about the Lock Ness Monster. With all of the evidence available to me, I make the point that this may not be a dinosaur like creature but just a very large fish or group of fish. Loch Ness in Scotland was formed about ten thousand years ago at the end of the last great ice age. It is fed by forty plus small rivers, and keeps its same temperature all year round. The Loch Ness is said to be home to a creature commonly known as Nessie. The Loch Ness Monster mystery is a little less than fifteen hundred years old. Albert Jack indicates in his article “Loch Ness Monsters and Raining Frogs,” that the first documented sighting of the Loch Ness monster was in AD 565. The man who discovered Nessie, was the Christian missionary Saint Columba. Saint Columba explained it as this, “they were burying a fellow tribesman who had been out on the loch in his boat when he had been attacked by a monster. Columba immediately ordered young Lugne Mocumin, one of his own followers, to swim across the loch to retrieve the dead man's boat. Detecting lunch was on its way again, the great beast reared up out of the water, at which Columba......

That seems pretty straight forward until one realizes that the accepted number of Spanish nautical leagues to a degree varied between 14 1/6 to 16 2/3 so in actual practice the length of a Spanish nautical league was 25 733 feet (7 843 meters or 4.235 modern nautical miles) to 21 874 feet (6 667 meters or 3.600 modern nautical miles) respectively.[8] Legua de por grado (league of the degree): From the 15th century through the early 17th century, the Spanish league of the degree was based on four Arabic miles. Although most contemporary accounts used an Arabic mile of 6 444 feet (1 964 meters), which gave a Spanish league of the degree of 25 776 feet (7 857 meters or 4.242 modern nautical miles) others defined an Arabic mile as just 6 000 feet making a Spanish league of the degree 24 000 feet (or 7315 meters, almost exactly 3.950 modern nautical miles).[9] Legua geographica (geographical league): Starting around......

...Accelerate taxable amounts to utilize expiring carryforwards, b.) Change the character of the taxable or deducible amounts from ordinary income or loss to capital gain or loss, or c.) Switch from tax exempt to taxable investments. Now, looking at LOL draft tax footnote there are three taxable temporary differences and the only one that should be considered is depreciation. This is because it is currently reversing and the taxable amounts are decreasing every year and in turn increasing the tax benefit. The trademark cannot be considered as taxable income because it is too difficult to determine when the reversal of the liability will take place because of its indefinite nature. And then the prepaid expenses can’t be considered as well because they do not seem to be reversing and it is difficult to set a schedule up of taxable prepaid expenses because of the inability to predict and layout projections of future amounts. As FASB ASC 740-10-30-17 states, “all available evidence shall be considered in determining whether a valuation allowance for DTA’s is needed”, so therefore relevant information that can be weighed as positive evidence should be compared to the amount of negative evidence that is present for LOL. And the two specific components of LOL that we will look at more closely are the impairment of nondeductible goodwill and the receivable write-off. According to FASB ASC 805-740-25-3 and FASB ASC 740-10-25-3(d), the recognition of a DTL for non-deductible goodwill......

The two men meet and clash after driving to the University of Nebraska where Stonehill is employed. He has little money to fund his laboratory, and a thorny personality that drives away colleagues and funders. John and his wife Aileen raise money to help Stonehill's research and the required clinical trials. John takes on the task full time, working with venture capitalists and then rival teams of researchers. They lock horns with each other, venture capitalists, and finally a large genomic research corporation, Zymagen. Stonehill's angry outburst hinder the company's faith in him, and the profit motive may upend John's hopes. The researchers race against time for the children who have the disease.
