A. Educational History
When starting off college I knew exactly what my major would be, Special Education. My mom was a teacher and my boyfriend’s mom at the time was a teacher as well. I just knew moving in that direction I would have a support system. So I started my journey at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Wittenberg had captured my heart and I was ready to learn. After completing my first year at Wittenberg I decided to move back home to be closer to my family but also was having complications with depression. That time was really hard for me because I felt as if I was giving up on my dreams. But I took a vow to myself that I would not slack when it came to going to school in Saint Louis, Missouri. I enrolled into general education courses at a community college.
While being at home I had time to think about where I would like to go that was closer to home that would give me the same five star education that Wittenberg University offered their students. So I sat out on a hunt to find the most amazing school. When looking up schools I started in Missouri because I knew that I wanted to at least be close to home. Missouri State was one of the first schools that popped up when scrolling through Missouri Schools. That week I came to campus to visit a few friends who had come here right after high school. After that week with my friends I as sold that Missouri State was the place for me.
As I started classes at MSU I was still pursuing a major in Special Education. I was still sold out that Special Education was for me until I took Teachers in Mathematics. Teachers in Mathematics was a class geared to being able to explain how to solve math problems in a classroom setting. I not only was struggling but I felt as if I had lost my drive. That day after dropping the class I took a step back to reevaluate why I wanted to be a Special Education major. I came to the conclusion that I was not doing it for myself but to please other people. After deciding that after two years special education was not for me I began to talk to my advisor and seek out different majors that allowed me to work with children but on a different level. As we began to look Social Work came to mind and I enrolled in Social Work 101 to get a fill of what an actual Social Worker is and what do they do. After taking SWK101 I was sold that this was the major for me. I applied for the program and started to pursue a degree in Social Work.
Fast forwarding to today I am not sure if I am pursuing the right degree once again. It really dawned on me after attending mission Sunday at James River Church. This Sunday they had described all of the great things that they were doing overseas how it was impacting the children who were less fortunate. I am a spiritual person and I felt as if God was calling me in another direction at this point of life. So continuing to pursue a degree in Social Work would not be beneficial at this time but I knew I had to do something after being in school for nearly five years with so much knowledge up under my belt with nothing to show for it. After talking to some people I decided that maybe it would be best to pursue a Bachelor of General Studies Degree. The Bachelor of General Studies degree allows me to have two to three areas of infusive and not just be stricken to one area. If I was to receive my Bachelors of General Studies my two areas of infusive would be English and Social Work. These two areas would allow me to be able to teach English while I am doing mission work overseas and social work will allow me to strategize in how to approach different populations when providing them with resources for their area of need. Mission work is what I believed God has called me to do in this season. A Bachelors in Social work would not be beneficial for me right now because I do not know if I want to be a Social Worker for the rest of my life. I am looking into going back and getting my masters after graduating undergrad in something that has to deal with different cultures around the world and possibly learn two different languages that I may be able to communicate with different people around the world. I am also looking in to possibly going to seminary school so that I may be well seasoned in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ because that is the ultimate goal when going overseas to do mission work. Another goal is to be able to work in ministry for the rest of my life full time. The bachelor of General studies will allow me to apply for certain jobs that I would not be able to apply for without having a degree. Being in college has taught me that it is not only about the degree that you have but the heart that you put behind it. My heart is some were overseas helping children to learn how to speak English and know the word of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
My goal for the rest of my life is to help people who are poverty stricken and cannot afford the proper resources to better themselves. I do not know where God is taking me at this moment but I know that he has a plan for me and I am ready to walk it out. So being able to pursue a Bachelors of General studies will allow me move forward with my life and start a new chapter of my life by helping others.…...

...The research conducted for and in these articles is to display the emphasis on the integration of business ethics and the study of its importance in foreign countries.   The ethics of Western Europe, Continental Europe, and Japan differ greatly from those of the United States.   They do not seem to place as much emphasis on the mindset and the appearance of the mere implementation of these business ethics.   Based on these writings, these countries appear to be much stricter in their implementation and day-to-day practicing of these ethics which are to help govern law.   Ethics work hand-in-hand with these laws that are meant to help the innocent not fall victim to various forms of deceit practiced by businesses every day before social responsibility became a tried and true responsibility.   A great example is in a piece written by Gregory Jackson and Androniki Apostolakou on the governing of social responsibility in Western Europe.   They more than anyone here in the United States that is known or aware of has more closely related the ideals of Social Responsibility in how it relates to ethics.   The two must coexist together, not one or other.   To be ethical is to practice everything that would be considered a company’s Social Responsibilities to its investors, employees, and communities in which they do business in.   Jackson and Apostolakou also acknowledge that the idea or even one consistent definition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) still to this day does......

War Bitch

...War War could be simply defined as an organized armed War is an organized, armed, and, often, a prolonged conflict that is carried on between states, nations, or other parties typified by extremeaggression, social disruption, and usually high mortality.[1][2] War should be understood as an actual, intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities, and therefore is defined as a form of political violence.[1][3] The set of techniques used by a group to carry out war is known as warfare. An absence of war (and other violence) is usually called peace. In 2003, Nobel Laureate Richard E. Smalley identified war as the sixth (of ten) biggest problem facing the society of mankind for the next fifty years.[4]In the 1832 treatise On War, Prussian military general and theoretician Carl von Clausewitz defined war as follows: "War is thus an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will."[5] While some scholars see warfare as an inescapable and integral aspect of human culture, others argue that it is only inevitable under certain socio-cultural or ecological circumstances. Some scholars argue that the practice of war is not linked to any single type of political organization or society. Rather, as discussed by John Keegan in his History of Warfare, war is a universal phenomenon whose form and scope is defined by the society that wages it.[6] Another argument suggests that since there are human societies in which warfare does not exist, humans may not be......

No Wonder They Call Me a Bitch

...Dog Food Fried, Flipped and Devoured Eating dog food may not be seen as the easiest thing to stomach because the smell, texture and by-products found within the mixture are thought of as awful and revolting. In Ann Hodgman’s “No Wonder They Call Me a Bitch”, although the title may suggest otherwise, different types of dog food are discussed. In this essay, Hodgman aims to inform her readers about the inequality in different types of dog food, as well as to entertain and amuse. Hodgman is writing to a broad audience, one of dog lovers and owners, as well as those that may be curious as to what is really in dog food, or more generally the packaging and processing of mass-produced food of any kind. Language, description and humor are techniques Hodgman skillfully uses to create a strong, convincing essay. Within this essay, Hodgman continually uses diction and syntax that a diverse audience can understand and relate to. In the beginning, the reader feels repulsed by what is written. However, through a light tone of voice and sentence structure, the levity of the experiences and feelings occurring throughout the experiment is conveyed. The personal anecdotes and thoughts make the tone feel less formal and much more story-like. In this way, Hodgman produces a piece that connects the information and readers Shortly after capturing interest through stating questions, Hodgman begins using large amounts of description. Each type of dog food is explained and illustrated so well that...

...Task1 (a) Create a plan for the collection of primary and secondary data for the above investigation. Primary Data is research that has been conducted by your organization, first hand. It is also known as Field Research.  It is usually more reliable than secondary data, because it is usually more accurate since you collected it yourself.  Primary data is specific and relevant to your products and services. However, Primary Data is often very time consuming to collect, and usually costs more to create than purchasing secondary data reports. You must take special care when collecting primary data.  It needs to be relevant, current, and as unbiased as possible. Primary Data is relevant when it directly applies to your company's products and services.  It is relevant when it relates to the problems you are trying to solve, and the marketing goals of your organization.  Primary Data is current when it is recent, and directly corresponds to the profile of your customers TODAY.  Primary Data is unbiased when your subjects have been honest and open during data collection.  When constructing your Primary Data collection plan, you must consider research methods, contact methods, the sampling plan, and your research instruments. To create a plan for the collection of primary data, which is survey the attitude of the employees towards a computerized service system, you must first request for the permission to carry out the survey in the company. The Diary of a Wimpy Bitch

...Today was a rough day. Let’s start at the beginning. Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm clock woke my ass up at 5:15. I repeat 5:15! From what I'm used to, waking up before the sun rises is ungodly! Not even the beasts of the earth are awake before the sun is. I groggily strut into the bathroom to shit, shower, and shave, and then race out the door to my job. Pissed off, as I am every morning, I manage my way through the day, working as little as possible, and socializing as much as I can. My boss is like eagle eye though. Being the dick that he is everytime he sees me talking he comes and yells at me. “Maaaaaatt!! Get back to your workstation!” The nerve of some people! People need to learn how to chill out and take a chill pill. As soon as my work was finished I clocked out and snuck out the back door. No way in hell I was letting that fat ass, tell me to help out another work area. If I wanted overtime I would have come in early. Because the lunch served today was basically inedible I was freaking starving! Free lunch or not, make me something worth eating. My dogs wouldn't even eat that pulled pork shit. I make my way over to subway to grab a foot long. Just as I pulled into the parking lot, I hear those dreaded sirens, and see the lights in my mirror I scream out in frustration, and think to myself “what else can go wrong today?” I get ticketed for no seatbelt and my tail light being out. Communist police are wasting their time on me when they should be out......
