India has come a long way as a supplier of IT services to the world. Analysts say that India has revolutionized the services sector the same way as Japan changed the manufacturing sector. But, Indian IT sector has mainly catered to a global market, and very little was done for the local market in India in the past. India presents a very large untapped market in terms of technology adoption and usage. The scope of technology development for India as a market is at a position when the world was some 15 years ago. The major advantage is that India can start implementing technology from the point where the rest of the world is right now. It can leapfrog ahead of the rest of the world with very little legacy technology to cope with.
Indian Market-India should be considered not as a country but as another world in itself. People have committed the mistake of considering it as a single big unit of similar attributes and needs or in other cases, seen little value in understanding the diversity of the country. They concentrated more on the well-off English speaking crowd of the country and never seen any true value in tapping the regional segments. FMCG, Education, Entertainment almost everyone else except IT has understood the value of tapping into the regional segments. This can be mainly attributed to the fact that IT was never meant for the Indian market. While other industries aimed to cater to local demand, IT was basically present as a supplier, catering to demand generated from the US and European countries. Also, the suppliers in other industries belonged to the same regional segment to which they catered to providing them a better understanding of the regional market. Most of our IT demand on the other hand is met by foreign players operating either in India or outside and from Indian players who have borrowed…...

...Before arriving in India, I had no idea what to expect. I knew the trip was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity but I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. Now that I am back and have had time to reflect on the trip, I have to say that it was amazing and I experienced things I will never forget. Throughout everything we did and saw, the one thing that surprised me the most was how great the people of India were. I never know what to expect going to a totally different culture, but I have to say the kindness we experienced from people in India was amazing. People were always willing to help us any way that they could. Whether it was the hotel employees, the bus crew, restaurant staff, bystanders on the street, or even those living in absolute poverty, the people of India were always smiling at us and wanting to know where we were from. Most people would think that they were always looking for a rupee or two, but that was not the case. They were genuinely glad that we were in their country and wanted to make sure that we had the best experience possible. It was inspiring and amazing and I think we could all learn of a lot from them. India was an eye-opening experience and it absolutely gave me an appreciation for how fortunate I am and it really put life into perspective. During this time, Buddhism is non-existence in China because change is unnecessary, since there is no urgency to adopt a new idea when the existing one work well for them. However, during the turmoil and the downfall of the Han’s dynasty, the Chinese seeks answers and salvation from “a promising seed-bed for the implantation of alien ideas and institutions” (Wright 20). This alien idea is known as Buddhism and it will spread to the South and North of China. Nevertheless, the transmission of Buddhism from India to China did not go smoothly and many obstacles lie on the way from the similarities and differences between two countries, adaptation that must take place from both sides, and the socio-political conditions that must occur for Buddhism in China to flourish. For the purpose of the study, opportunistic incumbents are most interesting because they put in effort if reelection chances increase thereby, whereas altruistic incumbents always put in the maximal effort level and selfish incumbents always put in zero effort. Finally, citizens base their voting decisions on different criteria. Only vulnerable citizens are influenced in their decision by the effort put in by incumbents. Vulnerable citizens who are not needy receive information about an incumbents’ effort from the media, needy citizens do in addition directly experience the effort level. It is assumed that uninformed vulnerable citizens do not vote. Non-vulnerable citizens decide who to vote for solely by means of ideological reasons. The model assumes that an opportunistic incumbent elected in the first period chooses the effort level in order to maximize reelection chances for the subsequent period. ...In 1900, India was part of the British Empire; but by the end of 1947, India had achieved independence. For most of the Nineteenth Century, India was ruled by the British. India was considered the jewel in the crown of the British Empire. Queen Victoria had been made Empress of India and the British had a major military presence in India. Indian nationals had no say in central government and even at a local level, their influence on policy and decision making was minimal. In 1885, educated middle class nationals had founded the Indian National Conference (INC). Their aim was to get a much greater say in the way India was governed. In response to this development, the Morley-Minto reforms were introduced in 1909. Morley was the Secretary of State for India and Lord Morley was Viceroy of India. Their reforms lead to each province in India having its own governor and Indian nationals were allowed to sit on the councils which advised these governors.
