I love Hitler. I think North Korea has an incredible democracy. Donald Trump would be a great president.
Now, I don’t agree with any of these statements, but if we can pretend I do, then you would realize that it is dangerous to say any of the above things in a public facility. It is easy for a society to agree that freedom of speech is important. But, how often is it enforced? How about freedom of expression? Specifically in the humanities, things like paintings, novels, theater, why is censoring needed? As long as there is no threat of danger, censorship in the arts shouldn't be allowed. Timur Vermes, a German author, wrote a book in Germany called Look Who’s Back, which is a satirical study on if Adolf Hitler was alive today, written in first person of the furious Furher himself. Surprisingly, that book was allowed in Germany, and it was no big deal when brought to America. Shocking, yes. A book about Hitler, being portrayed as a person rather than a monster, is a best seller book. Yes it is hilarious, but it is absolutely controversial. But, take the ever pleasant and magical Harry Potter series, and you have a totally different situation. Ever since becoming popular, the books have been among the most frequently challenged books, as measured by the American Library Association (ALA). It has been welcomed by many parents and teachers for getting children interested in reading, not to mention being a good story, and who’s to blame them. It is very popular, the movies are great, and it seems like such an innocent book to read! It is all very fictitious, there is no way kids can do what Harry is doing. What’s wrong with this? Apparently, the ALA feel that the series presents dangerous ideas and attitudes that are bad for readers. In some parts of the United States and United Kingdom, the Potter books have been banned from being read in school, taken out…...

...groups of a dozen or more from around corners several blocks up, and others, closer, darted in and out of alleys taking shots at them. They were wary of the Americans' guns, but edging in. The Rangers were bound by strict rules of engagement. They were to shoot only at someone who pointed a weapon at them, but already this was unrealistic. It was clear they were being shot at, and down the street they could see Somalis with guns. But those with guns were intermingled with the unarmed, including women and children. The Somalis were strange that way. Most noncombatants who heard gunshots and explosions would flee. Whenever there was a disturbance in Mogadishu, people would throng to the spot. Men, women, children - even the aged and infirm. It was like some national imperative to bear witness. Rangers peering down their sights silently begged the gawkers to get the hell out of the way. Things were not playing out according to the neat script in Eversmann's head. His chalk was still a block north of their position. He'd figured they could just hoof it down once they got on the ground, but Blackburn falling and the unexpected volume of gunfire had ruled that out. Time played tricks. It would be hard to explain to someone who wasn't there. Events outside him seemed to be happening at a frantic pace, but his own perceptions had slowed; seconds were like minutes. He had no idea how much time had gone by. Two minutes? Five? Ten? It was hard to believe things could have gone so......

True, my engineering degree was in the dumps. True we probably pointlessly slaved in Prof. Veera’s lab mixing one type of with another all day. True, I may get expletives in my grade sheet that would prevent me from getting a decent job. However none of these bothered me enough to cause insomnia. In fact, the four months off were great to catch up on sleep. But the one person whose voice, smell, image, feelings, crept up next to me at night and made sleep impossible was Neha. I tried calling her on the eleventh . She hung up in two minutes, telling me she never expected me to be like this. I guess for someone she called a loafer, she had pretty high expectations. I had called her right back, trying to explain in vain how the whole idea was not mine, and it was stupid of me to fall for it. “ You used me Hari. Like all men you used me”, she said. Like all men? How many men had she been with anyway, I thought. What has she been reading these......

...be on call! I’m in uniform, the patrol car is outside, and somehow during our entrance he has changed into his nightclothes and picked up another two girls. He drags them in to this the fucking bar, sits on my right and has both girls sit on his right. What a selfish fuck? Not that I really need a woman’s company, after all, we’re on call. But how he can be so ignorant to have them sit to his right, stealing both of their attention. Listen to them laughing at his pathetic jokes. He’s an animal. Look at this bartender laughing is ass off, what does he want to suck his dick too? “Clarkson! You look tired!” The bartender shouts above the music. “Perhaps another White Russian.” “A what,” I replied? “A White Russian. That disgusting coffee shit your always drinking.” Confused with what he was referring to, I just ordered a Levitt. Nothing like the way whisky allows my conscience to sink to the leather of the barstool. If Derek wants to ignore me for two French girls, so be it. All I need is my glass a whisky and this wood bar to rest my head. It used to be just me in my whiskey, those were the days! Before Derek came into my life everything seemed peaceful. Boring, normal, miserable, but peaceful. I still remember that day he was waiting for me with his coat over his shoulder, sitting on top of my patrol car with a toothpick in his mouth. “You Clarkson, he said with a devilish smile?” “Why are you on my car?” “Sergeant sent me; I’m your new......

It sound cool how about I order this one” Brittany smiled widely “Ummm…. Britt, I don’t think that’s a good idea, trust me” Brittany just frowned and looked back at the menu. Stupid isn’t a word Rachel might describe Puck but overly confidence might be a way to put it. Everyone in the table looked at him. ...three strikes laws and sentencing guidelines frequently require specific sentences, with little consideration of personal factors regarding offenders, their crimes, and victims.   The state and federal court system have similar and different objectives of punishment. The state and federal corrections system are affected as a system overall. There is a correlation between determinate and indeterminate sentencing when sentencing a criminal offender in the judicial process. What are the state and federal objectives of punishment? There are five major types of punishment. There are two types of deterrence: individual and general. Individual deterrence involves deterring someone that has already offended from reoffending. General deterrence is stopping those who would offend from offending because of the punishment that others are receiving. Retribution is the theory that the punishment is right because it is deserved. Retribution has been around for some time, it is better known to some as “an eye for an eye” or “a life for a life” in more cases. Rehabilitation is to bring back to life, through therapy and education. A goal of rehabilitation is to prevent habitual offending. Incapacitation is seen as a good consequence of punishment because while behind bars the offender is out of society and unable to reoffend. Reparation means that the offender must make restitution to the victim as part of the punishment as a part of their condition for reentry to society...

...it was Mashiba who looked his age. Hatano’s face retained still some vestiges of boyishness, and his body was slender. The power in Mashiba’s chiseled, wild features seemed all the greater to Hatano when pinned beneath him, and even now he wavered on the verge of drowning in it, and had to steel himself. “Just, shut… up!” Mashiba gazed down at him, observing his callow reactions and twisting his full lips as if to suppress a smile, and Hatano cursed him inwardly. His claim that Hatano was “tight” was rather suspect. Mashiba’s erection pushed forward against lining so slick with lubricant, the unrelenting foreplay, and Mashiba’s fluids that Hatano could barely stand to listen to the sound of his movements. “No, no! Stop!” Mashiba’s teeth worried the fevered, sensitive lobe of his ear, sparking a current that burned in a wanton flush of lust from head to toe. The hot, solid length surged eagerly inside him, churning the sticky, creamy sensation between his legs, and something like a scream was torn from his lips. “Like hell it’s… ‘too tight’… Oh—!” Mashiba was pressing him bold and hard, and Hatano felt it—had learned to feel it—so strongly that it plucked the breath from his lungs. His ears rang with the pounding of his heart, and a bittersweet ache commanded the whole of his senses. Fluids of all kinds gushed from all over his body, until even the narrow ribbon of space that parted him from Mashiba seemed to have grown heavy with damp. A startlingly gentle tongue coiled......

Авторы Lesson 1 FAMILY LIFE INTRODUCTORY READING AND TALK Marriage is a thing which only a rare person in his or her life avoids. True bachelors and spinsters make up only a small percent of the population; most single people are "alone but not lonely". Millions of others get married because of the fun of family life. And it is fan, if one takes it with a sense of humour. There's a lot of fun in falling in love with someone and chasing the prospective fiancee, which means dating and going out with the candidate. All the relatives (parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, stepmothers and stepfathers and all in-laws) meanwhile have the fan of criticizing your choice and giving advice. The trick here is not to listen to them but propose to your bride-to-be and somehow get her to accept your proposal. Then you may arrange the engagement and fix the day of the wedding. What fun it is to get all those things, whose names start with the word "wedding" — dress, rings, cars, flowers, cakes, etc.! It's great fun to pay for them. Everyone Needs Someone

...started swelling up in my eyes, and before I knew it, I was in the library. I’m alone. I sat alone at a computer that also sat next to the windows in the library, alone; lost in thought I took out a notebook to make it seem like I was doing some work. But I was too hurt to do anything, so I just sat looking at my notebook. My head was running around and by the time I knew it, lunch was over almost as soon as it started. Even until today, I don’t remember whether I went to my last two classes or left early, but I knew I was lost in thought. The same thing happened for almost three to four months, I was alone. I hid in the bathroom, library, in classes, and if I was feeling a little better, sometimes I would hang out with Kim. I even started thinking I was fine without anyone. But I started building up so much emotions that I couldn’t share with someone else. One day during lunch in the library, my great aunt, whom I call grandma, called. I knew it wasn’t good because she never calls me. I picked the phone up, “Hi grandma. Did you need something?” Silence. The silence scared me, I knew this was not good news. “I know you are at school, but when you can, tell your mom that your auntie Penny got into another car accident, and she won’t make it this time,” she started sniffing, and I knew she was crying. This time I was silent, I didn’t know what to say, I was too shock, “be strong grandma. I’ll make sure to tell my mom. Thanks for calling me,” she didn’t......
