The Affordable Healthcare Act also imposes heavy tax credits depending on household income which will really help more families stay healthy which in turn, is healthier for the community as a whole. ...The Consultant Lisa A. Barbour Wendy Whitner HSA 505 August 19, 2012 Each of the 4 Ps represents one of the, really important elements of marketing that you need to consider when developing your campaigns. Alone, none of them will do you much good, the 4 P’s need to work together. They’re like the four wheels of a car, or the four legs of a table, or Charlie’s Angels without Bozley. If you’ve got trouble with or, (heaven forbid) are missing one entirely – you’ll have trouble getting anywhere. All the 4 marketing p's are also known as "the marketing mix" furthermore are frequently used by a marketer to plot a plan, and place the foundations of fresh projects/campaigns, it is a astonishingly useful strategy that has been used ever since the early 1960's, and will be constant for as long as new-found projects/campaigns are being produced. 1.) Product - The product aspects of marketing deal with the specifications of the actual goods or services, plus how it relates to the end users needs and wants. The range of a product normally includes supporting elements such as warranties, guarantees, and support. The different varieties of your product, the quality of it, how it’s designed packaged and branded. Anything that adds value to your product, any reason a customer might want to purchase it is part of Product. 2.) ...Assignment #1 Davis V. The Board of County Commissioners of Dona Ana Country Keidra Dailey Dr. Edward Sherbert HRM 510 April 28, 2013 What was the legal issue in this case? The legal issue pertaining to the case of Davis v. The Board of County Commissioners of Dona Ana County which could have been prevented through the act of ill will. Joseph Herrera was a detention officer at the Dona Ana County Detention Center in which he was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a female prisoner and in exchange for sexual favors. Knowing that Joseph Herrera had the potential of committing a crime but not stopping the act is just as guilty as the person that has committed the crime, with this case an employer owes prospective employers and foreseeable third persons a duty of reasonable care not to misrepresent material facts in the course of making an employment about Joseph Herrera. After resigning from the Dona Ana County Detention Center the director Frank Steele and Assistant director Al Mochen which were Joseph Herrera supervisors gave a positive recognition to the Mesilla Valley Hospital, in which he was hired as a mental health technician. Mariah C. Davis (plaintiff) was convinced that due to untruthful information provided by Steele and Mochen he was able to get employed at the hospital. In my opinion this case is very interesting and brought forth valid points with the case. It also raises the question of us being citizens of the United States are we......

...Assignment 1: Applications of Epidemiology-Case Study HSA 535 Dr. Mountasser Kadrie Strayer University April, 2014 Introduction Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a bacteria usually found in warm blooded organisms such as human and animal intestines. Although there are large groups of E.coli, most strains are harmless. Other strains of the bacteria may cause diarrhea, respiratory illnesses and food poisoning. Some strains such as O157:H7 can cause kidney failure or severe anemia. Exposure to E.coli can be in the form of food, water, undercooked meat and even raw vegetables. Symptoms may include: nausea and vomiting, severe stomach cramps and stomach tenderness, diarrhea containing blood. In hospitals and other health care facilities, E. coli is commonly found in meat served in the cafeteria. In a (2014) article of Science Daily, It’s reported that more than 80 percent of raw chicken used in hospitals in food for patients and staff was contaminated with a form of antibiotic resistant bacteria called extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing E. coli. While sufficient preparation eliminated the presence of bacteria, poultry meat delivered to hospital kitchens remains a potential point of entry for these dangerous bacteria into the hospital. The study was published in the April issue of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, the journal of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. ...R. Williams Construction v OSHRC Rachel R. Taylor Strayer University Business Law -510 Dr. Laqua Perkins June 1, 2014 On September 19, 2002, a trench collapse at a sewer-construction project at the Chumash Casino Project in Santa Ynez, California, killed Jose Aguiniga, a Williams employee, and seriously injured Adam Palomar, another Williams employee.   On the day of the collapse, the trench was ten to twelve feet deep and between three and four feet wide at the bottom.   The trench was about thirteen feet wide at the top and more than forty feet long.   The sides of the trench rose vertically from the bottom for approximately five feet, after which they sloped backwards at about a forty-five degree angle.   An earthen slope at the west end of the trench provided the workers' only access to and egress from the bottom.   Ground water seeped into the soil continuously. Williams used a number of submersible pumps to remove the ground water that seeped into the trench.   Although the pumps could be pulled up and cleaned from the top of the trench, it was the practice to do so from inside the trench.   Adam Palomar and Jose Aguiniga, two Williams’s employees, were generally responsible for cleaning the pumps and did so as needed throughout any given workday without receiving specific instructions. On the day before the accident, a hydraulic jack shoring system, which supported the trench wall, had been removed.   On the day of the accident, Palomar and Aguiniga entered......

...HSA 510: Economics of Health and Medical Care Student: Lucy Njoya Assignment 3: The Management Challenge of Delivering Value in Health Care Strayer University Professor: Dr. Jeff Kaluyu Due: Week 8 Introduction: The healthcare industry is evolving both nationally and globally, and as a result, the challenges facing health care services delivery organizations are also increasing. Health care professionals are the decision-makers and also the ones closely associated with the day-to-day decision making processes affecting the delivery of health care services and goods to patients. The economic evaluation of the health care services delivery systems has proven to play an important role in the different types of health care decision-making. For example, formulary decisions, reimbursement decisions, high health cost decisions, and e-prescribing. This makes it a point of interest to assess the influence of economic evaluations on health care decision-making both at the macro, me so, and micro levels. Even though the impact of economic evaluation studies on health care decision making has been limited, there is an increasing requirement for the cost-effectiveness of the health care intervention to be considered when formulating and implementing guidelines for clinical practices. What is encouraging at this moment is the fact that health care decision-makers do recognize the usefulness and necessity of published economic evaluations that rightly inform the public......

Unit 510

...Unit 510 Effective team performance can be identified by a few simple notions, what first comes to mind when we think about a team is that it is made up of several different people all working towards a common goal, I identify this as without it no matter how good the each member of the team was, it would lead to chaos with no end result. We follow on from this as the team must have a structure whereas things can be measured so people know how to meet the goal they are heading towards. The staff that make up the team must be able to do the job they have been assigned to achieve, and sister to this they must be more than a staff member they must be colleagues, I say this because they must be equally committed and such create an air of sharing and collaboration so they can all utilize each person's different skills and abilities. Hence this leads on to the support network that is created not just by the effective teamwork but also externally too, by the training and supervision they may receive, the recognition of doing a good job etc. The leader will have to manage the team, make sure that everyone is working towards the same goal by monitoring and acting to support all the notions above. UNIT   510 Element 1 The staff team and staff members roles change as the team itself develops due to changes in policy, staff leaving/recruitment or changing demands of service users.   However the basic roll a staff member plays within the team will not alter greatly.   As......

...1. Assess your community’s access to health care technology and determine how that access (or lack thereof) impacts your community economically. For people living in the rural areas, the distance to main metropolitan centres often places restrictions on access to essential services, including specialist healthcare. Telemedicine provides one possible answer. Many different terms such as telehealth, telecare, online health and E-health have been used but they all have a common meaning, i.e. the use of information and communication technologies to deliver health care services at a distance. The motivation for investigating the use of telemedicine for different clinical problems include large distances between patients and specialists, isolated health professionals requiring specialist support and/or education, and situations where there is no other alternative, for example space flight or patients at sea, as well as the pervasive and pragmatic issue of cost. Are health care dollars better spent on sending the clinician to the patient, bringing the patient to the clinician, or by facilitating the consultations using telemedicine? Modern advances in information communication technologies have seen developments in the different mechanisms available for conducting telemedicine, from Morse code to the ordinary telephone and more recently the Internet. The different telecommunication networks required to support these communication technologies have also advanced...

...Assignment 1 Shante Trumpet Dr. Debbie Chotkevys HSA 510 10/21/11 Describe how you would assess the impact of the health care issue you selected in microeconomic terms. Most existing work on the price elasticity of demand for health insurance focuses on employees' decisions to enroll in employer-provided plans. However, any attempt to achieve universal coverage must focus on the uninsured, the vast majority of who are not offered employer-sponsored insurance. A survey was conducted to survey assess the willingness to pay for a health plan among a large sample of uninsured Americans. The experiment yields price elasticities substantially greater than those found in most previous studies. We use these results to estimate coverage expansion under the Affordable Care Act, with and without an individual mandate. We estimate that 39 million uninsured individuals would gain coverage and find limited evidence of adverse selection. In the United States, the economy shapes the complex interactions among employment, health coverage, and costs, as well as financial access to care and health outcomes. In economic downturns, few employers drop health coverage or restrict employee eligibility. More commonly, they reduce costs by changing benefits and cost-sharing provisions. Employees in low-wage jobs, working in small firms, and those in certain industries have been far more likely than others to have been uninsured when they lost their jobs, but this recession is affecting a......
