Foreign Destination Research Project

My husband and I married young and were never able to take a beautiful honeymoon to a foreign destination. He and I always wanted to travel to Australia to the beautiful city of Perth found in Western Australia. Perth is the Capital and largest city in Western Australia. The city has an estimated population of 1, 7000,000 people with the average age being 34. The Metropolitan area in Perth is located south West of Western Australia between the Indian Ocean and low costal escarpment. Perth‘s population is in eighth place for the world’s most livable Cities (The Economist’s 20011.) I ‘am very much looking forward to the hot weather and we will have to pay attention to the heat advisory often. There are many attractions and restraints in store for us once we land. The attractions we have chosen were based on our love for animals, knowledge and research.
My husband and I thought about the many different ways to Travel to Perth from Nashville TN. The most reasonable way we came up with was by Plane because we would be crossing over the Pacific Ocean. I tend to become sea sick so the option of traveling by boat was out of the question for me. There is an adventures option which would be to drive across country kayak across the Pacific Ocean and then take a ferry or continue to Kayak into Perth. I’ am not looking to venture to travel for my own leisure. My husband and I decided to travel by plane costing us $2,252.00 and we would be on the plane for an average of 29 hours and 15 minutes. I am sure driving across country and Kayaking would take much longer. On our flight we will have two stops before landing in Perth Australia, I am looking forward to great service on the plane ride. The plane ride will determine our mood once we arrive so I can only hope for wonderful flight attendants.

...group of travellers may have paid for their ticket, arguing implicitly that these airlines should only be called “low fares” airlines if all their fares are low. This research investigates the availability of low fares in various markets under different purchasing scenarios. It is clear that the average fares attained by the low cost airlines are significantly higher than some advertised “lead-in” fares with EasyJet’s attaining an average one-way fare in 2001 of £49 while Ryanair’s got £48 per paying passenger However, the anecdotal evidence in the media does not consider the different purposes that people are using the services. Some travellers may indeed be newly generated leisure travellers, while others travellers attracted away from other modes. Business travellers have embraced low cost airlines in Europe, and while there is clear evidence of price elasticity in this market, business travellers are more likely to accept higher fares than their leisure compatriots. This research seeks to assess these issues by examining the pricing strategies adopted by three low cost airlines; Ryanair, EasyJet, and Go. The bulk of Member States have either adopted the Euro or else the national currency is locked into the Euro with a fixed exchange rate. From a consumer’s viewpoint, one of the risks of foreign travel has been removed, namely incurring losses through adverse exchange rate movements and price transparency, in that a German holidaymaker to Greece sees the......

...Currently the best achieved sunlight conversion rate (solar module efficiency) is around 21.5% in new commercial products typically lower than the efficiencies of their cells in isolation. The most efficient mass-produced solar modules have power density values of up to 175 W/m2 (16.22 W/ft2).[5] Research by Imperial College, Londonhas shown that the efficiency of a solar panel can be improved by studding the light-receiving semiconductor surface with aluminum nanocylinders similar to the ridges on Lego blocks. The scattered light then travels along a longer path in the semiconductor which means that more photons can be absorbed and converted into current. Although these nanocylinders have been used previously (aluminum was preceded by gold and silver), the light scattering occurred in the near infrared region and visible light was absorbed strongly. Aluminum was found to have absorbed the ultraviolet part of the spectrum, while the visible and near infrared parts of the spectrum were found to be scattered by the aluminum surface. This, the research argued, could bring down the cost significantly and improve the efficiency as aluminum is more abundant and less costly than gold and silver. The research also noted that the increase in current makes thinner film solar panels technically feasible without "compromising power conversion efficiencies, thus reducing material consumption". * Efficiencies of solar panel can be calculated by MPP(Maximum power point) value of solar......

...Research Project for Sport and Exercise Science Research Proposal (1 of 2) EDSE Elen Moyo S0073212 Tom Raynor Assessment due in: 21/10/15 In this project I will be attempting to figure out the effects of eating jelly babies in a 30m sprint, if consuming the substrate will improve speed to the subjects or contradict. The reason why I want to conduct this is that Jelly babies are common taken for boosting energy as it contains a great amount of sugar so by doing this project will gather enough research to prove if jelly babies affects speed on a 30m sprint. Does sugar intake have an effect on speed in a 30m sprint? Aims My aim is to establish the human consumption of sugar intake, if it has an effect of sprinting 30m. Objectives * Booking facilities such as the rubber crumb * Finding equipment’s * To film the 30m sprints, to calculate velocity * Subjects will complete 30m sprint without taking the substrate to start off with * Time of speed will decrease * Results recorded down on a table with each subjects score. Hypothesis * The use of consuming Jelly babies will have no significant difference on the subjects speed as it will not differ. * Subjects speed score will decrease when taking the substrate, compared to when consuming the substrate. Recourses Physical Resources- For my project I will need a stop timer to time the speed the subjects are sprinting. Tape measure that gives the correct......

...Research Project According to Alexandra Zavis, Christine Mai-Duc, and Tina Susman in the Lexington Herald Leader, published on October 23, 2014, in the article titled “Canada’s Parliament under Fire”, they cover the story of the recent shooting in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. This article accurately summarized the events surrounding the instance where a shooter had killed a soldier pulling guard duty at the war memorial, and then proceeded to the foyer of the parliament offices where he was stopped by a hail of gunfire. There were a few things that made this article interesting. One major part that stood out was that Canada’s “high-risk traveler” watch list has 90 people on it (Zavis, Mai-Duc and Susman). This sounds like an awfully low number considering the US probably has thousands. To me it would seem you could afford to assign 90 agents to follow these “high-risk” individuals at all times. This article was a pretty quick and easy read. It was laid out in a good chronological order with added quotes from witnesses in the area which helped it flow well. The facts have been confirmed by numerous sources including those witnesses. Another interesting note is where the soldier who was killed had been identified by a friend who had recognized him in television video of paramedics trying to save his life (Zavis, Mai-Duc and Susman). The audience the authors were targeting is just about everyone who has heard about the shootings and might not have known any of the......
