Unit 10 Final

...Unit 10 Final Project IT 320 Justin Burse An operating system is the main management system which is loaded after the boot loader has finished. Its responsible has many core responsibilities which allows all the programs to work together as one system. In the layer structure on the right you can see it is the link between the core hardware and the applications that use these pieces of hardware. How input and output devices link to the applications is controlled by this core program. Device Manager When a new device is made it has a program to control it, known as a “driver”. This driver is built to become a plug-in to the operating system, allowing the link to be built between the applications and that hardware device. If a device has not got a driver it cannot be used by the applications. Classes of devices however may use the same driver. An example of this is USB mass storage devices. All USB mass storage devices work using a Mass Storage Device Class which is transmitted as a signal when the device is connected. All these devices use the same protocol (A SCSI command set) and therefore can share a general driver. Although this is not a problem with this device, other devices which may have specialist functions or extra commands within their command set may not be able to use them, because the operating system has chosen a general driver Memory Management An example of a job fulfilled by an operating......

Td Bank

...Td Bank is a national banking institution in the United States that offers banking insurance, brokerage, and investment banking services along the east coast in 15 different states. Td bank is amongst the countries top 10 banks. The bank took its name through a merger with commerce bank and Banknorth. The company operates under Toronto Dominion Bank in Ontario Canada. Banknorth also added a sister company, Td Ameritrade formed under TD Waterhouse. One of the main things I like about Td Bank is its convenience to its costumers. Working for Td Bank, they take pride in their high customer service ratings. The have employees attend TDU a university to train employees how to do their job and also please the customer. The main reason I started banking at Td Bank was when they started no Atm fee campaign, I stayed with TD bank after I opened a free student checking and savings account. Also, they are open 7 days a week with the best hours a bank has to offer. “We will be the Best Run, Customer-focused, Integrated Financial Institution with a Unique and Inclusive Employee Culture.” The mission statement above is strongly exhibited through Td Bank. Td Bank is my choice for personal banking. What makes Td Bank different from most banking businesses, is that they have learned how to come out on top. As stated by Levitt in Marketing Myopia, think outside the box. People who focus on marketing strategy, various predictive techniques, and the customer's lifetime value can rise......

Today, navigating through the sheer speed and scale of change presents challenges for all operators. We have produced Top 10 Risks in Telecommunications 2012 to help them map out the right path. This is the latest in our ongoing series of studies designed to pinpoint the most critical risk issues, analyze the sector’s evolving responses and highlight elements of emerging best practice. As in previous reports, we do not claim that the list of risks we present here is comprehensive. Also, by its nature, it can only provide a generalized snapshot of the risks that we — and the sector as a whole — see at this time. Given this, we would encourage you to read this report with an open mind and inquisitive attitude. Are these really the risks you face in your own business? If not, how and why are your organization’s risks different? And how do those particular risks impact you? The answers inevitably vary from company to company. But in every case, we believe that leaders should take the following steps: • ......

...since it needs to be watched over throughout the project’s duration. As for security aspect, green computing is risky if the hardware used is made from recycled or reusable items. Risks lead to vulnerability and if the technology is vulnerable hence it is easier to be compromised. Performance and security are interrelated in such a way that better security features will entail higher usage, which will in turn burdens the response time. Slower response time can also be contributed by the complicated nature of the technology. All in all, a way to maintain all three aspect; cost, security and performance is by accentuating on the sustainability factor. Sustainable in this context, is the ability for the technology to be maintained at certain rate or level, even in few years to come. Technology evolution has come to its peak magnification where incrementing number of technology are relinquished virtually daily. Therefore, one of the effects of rapid growth has on sustainability factor is that it is difficult to keep one technology for a period of time due to one of the elements the technology use might be going thru another evolution therefore making it incompatible and needs upgrades. Rapid growth accelerates the phase of technology in becoming obsolete. Thus, one way to overcome the technology obsolescent is to make the technology itself exclusive and privileged.
