1. What was your initial reaction to Limbaugh’s claim that “feminism was established so that unattractive women could have easier access to the mainstream of society?” I’m blown away by the stupidity of this article. That’s my first reaction. The more I read the more I felt that he was talking about some personal experience. His initial statement was about feminism being established for unattractive women but throughout his article all he talked about was rape and how it shouldn’t be different types of rape, just one.

2. What are two of Limbaugh’s main points? One main point he tried to make was the fact that women have the overall power to control man when it comes to men pursuing women and how we (man) has no chance in this and will be looked at as predators. The second point is rape should not be categorized into different areas, it should be just called rape.

3. How does Limbaugh support these points? Limbaugh gave the example of Fred Savage from the wonder years show. He stated how Fred Savage who was 16 at the time was hit with sexual harassment because he showed a 33 year old woman a little too much affection in trying to ask her out and touched her hand. I don’t condone the act of rape, sexual harassment or any other type of sexual innuendo towards the opposite sex or same sex for that matter, but I fail to see how this point has anything to do with EXTREMIST FEMINIST!

4. How would you answer Limbaugh’s points if you were arguing for the opposition to each of the two points you selected? I would answer to the points that he seems to hitting on some personal experiences that may have happened in his life. That or maybe to someone close to him.
5. Overall, did you find the essay convincing? Why or why not? I found it convincing to a certain extent. He seemed a bit over the top on some parts of the essay and his title wasn’t the main essay topic. However overall the topic of rape is never a yes, or maybe, it’s a NO this type of action should never happen!…...

...This discussion will enable us to lay some of the theoretical groundwork for communication and public speaking. Let's begin by exploring the basics. How do you define the term communication? Take a few minutes to go through the "Is This Communication?" activity included in this week's lecture material and report your results. I personally define communication as any individual trying to convey his/her thoughts to someone other than his/her self. Although I scored average in the results of my Communication Anxiety Report and Analysis, I barely made over the hump of the very low CA. I am not sure what it means right now but I am okay with it. I should improve by the end of the course. We are in the same page with this one. But as I mentioned in my original post that I am comfortable with final report of average even though I barely made it over the very low CAR. The good news is we are taking this class and I am positive that we are going to improve our scores. According to Wikipedia, Public speaking is the process and act of speaking or giving a lecture to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain a listening audience. Public speaking is commonly understood as face-to-face speaking between individuals and an audience for the purpose of communication. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the......

...Discussion The results of the experiment did not support the created hypothesis that the poisonous enzyme PTU (Phenylthiourea) was a competitive inhibitor. In the experiment to test whether PTU was competitive a catechol oxidase substrate was added to the solution to determine it’s inhibition. As more of the substrate was added, no reaction occurred and the substance remained consistently clear. However, the results indicated that the catechol that was used continued to be inhibited by the PTU. Due to this inhibition, catechol oxidase was present in potatoes and the results suggested opposite from the hypothesis. Enzyme inhibitors are compounds that counteract substrate-enzyme interactions. Two classes of enzyme inhibitors are competitive and noncompetitive. Enzyme inhibitors work as one of the major controls in the biological systems. Competitive inhibitors act in the spot that are meant to be for it’s intended substrate. At any given moment enzymes may bind to its inhibitor, the substrate or neither. They are unable to bind to both at the same time. This inhibition competes with the substrate for binding sites on the enzymes. However, a competitive inhibitor is reversible if the concentration of the substrate is raised to high levels while the inhibitor is constant. Noncompetitive inhibitors do not compete for its position in the active site. It decreases the activity of the enzyme and binds equally even if it’s bound to the substrate or not.......

Post your initial response to the discussion question no later than Thursday 11:59 PM EST/EDT. Post responses to at least two classmates no later than Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT The most significant business problem JetBlue faced during the 2007 crisis was inadequate communication. In this case JetBlue CEO David Neeleman stated, “Among the primary culprits: inadequate communication protocols to direct the company’s 11,000 pilots and flight attendants about where to go and when; an overwhelmed reservation system; and a lack of cross-trained employees who could work outside their primary area of expertise during an emergency” (Argenti, 2011, p.105).JetBlue spokesperson Sebastian White stated, “We thought there would be these windows of opportunities to get planes off the ground, and we were relying on those weather forecasts” (Argenti, 2011, p.104). This risk taking by JetBlue ultimately lead to several critical constituency issues. Nine JetBlue jets were forced to sit idle on the tarmac for more than six hours....

En1420 Discussion 4.1 Empty Space

...Empty Space Justin Johnson ITT Tech – Tulsa, OK Abstract Is the lack of a subject the same thing as having a subject? When there is not a subject or the subject is “nothing” the appropriate method would be to turn in a paper with nothing but empty space. This is what happens when I do not receive homework I e-mailed about and do not have what I need to do this assignment properly. The controversy stems from if I have nothing to use as a subject, do I still have a subject to use? I say yes but you may disagree. Nothing but empty space The main points of the article talk about how if you have nothing in empty space it is different than having a vacuum or lack of existence. The first point is just because you can not see anything there it does not mean it void of everything. The second point is even if there is no matter in a specific area there can still be other measured substances. The third point is that even where it appears to be nothing there can still be an atomic weight. The fourth point is that nothing can be powerful. The last point is the emptiness is more of a matter of perspective. People assume that just because they can not see anything that there is nothing there. This is far from the truth. If I asked you to look at the edge of this paper would you say this is nothing there? There is something there. There are atoms that reflect the color white. If you are looking at this on a computer screen there are electrons converted into a...

Analysis 4.1

...10/27/15 CO2520 Analysis 4.1 People in an individualist culture will see other people and they will ask how they are doing and that individual will more than likely say that they are doing well when in fact they are far from it. They mostly do this because they do not want to burden other people with their own problem. Personally, I have no experience with people from collectivist cultures but I assume that they are much more open with their problem and even expect help from other members of the culture and community. As I was growing up my family has always been there if I needed help or assistance in any way shape or form, my orientation was never a predominant culture value in my family. My family is rather normal than other families I have witnessed. If there is anything wrong I would always try to figure out a situation or a conflict by myself. Because it is my problem and no one else’s, in my opinion it is rude to expect other people to help you out of your own conflict that you created. But if it does come to asking people for help I would always try to compensate them for helping with money or an exchange to help them in a time of need. This does not apply to everyone though there is always someone somewhere that will go the extra mile for anyone and everyone. The connection between these cultures is that they both want people to be happy, just like every culture. One way they see that if you have problem they will overcome it themselves and realize how strong......

Nt1210 Intro to Networking Lab 4.1

...NT1210 Lab 4.1 Copper Cabling Exercise 4.1.1 Why are standards so important for NICs, connectors, and media? Use your textbook and Internet research to justify your answer. Simple because Stability, Consistency, Minimization of packet errors. Exercise 4.1.2 The voltage for registering a bit of 1 on Ethernet can be as low as 2.5 volts or even 1 volt. Why is this so low when the capacity for transmitting electricity on the copper wire is so high? Use your textbook and Internet research to support your answer. Because the voltage (or current) used to transmit data needs only be high enough for the receiver to detect it. Making the voltage (much) higher would make the receiver electronics more difficult. Exercise 4.1.3 What are some applications of shielded copper cable? Why is the more expensive shielded cable used in these situations? Use your textbook or Internet research to support your answer. The extra covering in shielded twisted pair wiring protects the transmission line from electromagnetic interference leaking into or out of the cable. STP cabling often is used in Ethernet networks, especially fast data rate Ethernets. Exercise 4.1.4 Complete the entries in Table 4-1. Use your textbook and Internet research to compose your answer. The common connector for interfacing UTP wires to a computer for networking is the Registered Jack 45 (RJ-45) interface. This uses eight copper wires (four twisted pairs) to complete the connec- tion between interfaces. The pinout...

Analysis 4.1

...NT1230 GARRETT FOGLE ANALYSIS 4.1 Mr. Dakrouni Server Analysis When designing a new network for a soil analysis company, many things must be planned in regards to servers and their roles. The information that I have done my planning on says that the employees of the company will be doing soil analysis and mapping the information to a Geographical Information System (GIS) database. The President and vice President want their employees to be able to get email, be able to get shared files, and print to common printer. With this information, I have analyzed their requirements for amount of servers needed, roles to assign to each, and some of the tools required to configure them. To start off, they will need 8 servers to efficiently run their business with 2 being redundant to be available to pick up the workload if one fails. The six main servers will be assigned roles as follows; file services, database server, application server, monitoring server, threat management server, and print services. The file services server allows you to centrally locate files to be accessed by multiple people, making them easier to access, find, and backup. This server will be important to the employees for sharing of data and references to past work. The database server would serve as a......

How would that make you feel? Being judged unfairly or falsely because you have a mental illness is wrong, period. The bad stereo types proceed out in such representation; mentally ill people as incapable, threating, messy, dirty and unworthy. The media have gradually become aware of these detrimental portrayals. I started watching this show on A&E called Intervention. Is a Rehab reality show that showcase extraordinary causes of addiction and substance use; were their family and friends get together and confront their loved ones. There’s no quality metric for improvement, however one consider the excessive recidivism of drug delinquents heading back to prison, the persistent relapsing of individuals whom proceeded through community based rehabilitation programs and any person who’s fooled with a junkie in their personal life. The problem is that this is a reality show and it not really about intervention it’s about ratings. Reality shows often choose people for the show that will boost ratings, act a fool, fight argue etc. This tend to open up ethical standards when choosing people for the show. This documentary / reality show shows the day and life of addicts. It takes the addicts and their......
