The purpose of this report is to consider the marketing mix for the latest HTC Desire HD mobile phone by using two methods-primary and secondary of market research. Both researches’ data can be obtained from internal such as inside the organization and external such as outside the organization sources. Primary research consists of information which is obtained for the first time. In other words, this information has never existed previously. It is obtained from people by doing some sort of investigation in the marketplace. Primary research is designed to meet specific information needs. However, there are some drawbacks that it is expensive to carry out and can be time consuming to carry out. Questionnaire is an example of primary research that was designed to find out what people think about HTC Desire HD mobile phone. This method is convenient to collect peoples’ opinions. Furthermore, questionnaires are easier to arrange than focus groups. On the other hand the problems arise with using questionnaires for research. As it has been mentioned above, it can be time consuming and more expensive than collecting secondary data. The secondary research method uses information that already exists. Such data has been collected for another purpose and is available for others to use. The internet is the best source of information for the secondary method which has been used to gather the information on the latest HTC Desire HD mobile phone. The Internet has been chosen as it easy to use, has lots of information, quick, cheap and time efficient. On the other hand, it is often not enough information that is relevant to the research specific objectives; the information could be too old or even not from reliable sources. ...Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) website, I was initially surprised that businesses under 15 employees (and under 20 employees for age discrimination) are not covered by the laws that the EEOC enforces. I had assumed that all business were forbidden from discriminating against a protected class, regardless of the business's size. Even if a female employee had conclusive and undeniable proof that her termination was based on her gender alone, if her company had less than 15 employees, the employer could legally get away with it. In order for a worker to be counted as an employee under EEOC law, he or she must have worked for the company for at least twenty calendar weeks (EEOC). Independent contractors and temporary employees are not covered. Employers with several worksites should count all the employees together as one company. I had a trouble finding a clear reason on the EEOC website why the minimum cutoff is 15 employees. My best guess is that a company of that size is just too small to employ all classes of people indiscriminately. For example, a struggling five person business might go bankrupt trying to outfit their office to be wheelchair accessible. In this case I can understand how the business would have to discriminate against handicapped people when hiring. It also might be harder to employ a representative sample of the local population in a company that small. It is too easy to accuse a five person all-male company of gender discrimination.......
