This is one theory as to why the “Obamacare” website was pulled for an extended amount of time. The supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and the industrial control systems (ICS) have been doing a lot of research lately into offline devices that are considered air gapped because they have no connection to the outside world network wise. The results are showing severe vulnerabilities and they believe stuxnet to have been only the beginning, and that a Hollywood style cyber ware attack could be real (Watch Guard). With all the threats and scares going on in the cyber world I think Internet security can be seen as a sort of immune system. It fights off viruses and threat’s and becomes stronger and stronger each time. These days we have biometric and retinal scanners on our smartphones and new ways to secure our devices are being explored every second. Companies seriously involved to helping you protect your Network and its valuable information on a global scale. ...did not have any chain of command in its information technology department, the company did not have a chief information security officer or any top security officer relating to information security, which is very unorthodox for a company of Target’s magnitude. The Target breach was able to so successful due to most of its information technology professionals refusing to respond to certain alerts that their system was employing (McCracken, 2014). With the breach we soon learn that most companies regardless of the size or how well managed they are-are able to be attack if no influence is put on the security of the network. Largely affecting the security of networks are certain policies that are enforced from within companies without any research or consulting from subject matter experts, one of the largest threats that will continue to affect companies for many years to come is a new policy called bring your own device (BYOD). Bring your own device is the idea that allowing employees to bring their own information technology equipment and use on the company’s network is cost effective for the company (Chadda, 2014). With bring your own device most companies do not have established mobile device managers to push correct policies and patches to keep the phones cleanse from malware or any other threats. Most of these individuals are using their phones or laptops on the company’s network then heading home and surfing the internet and downloading whatever they see fit that......

...ACCT 429 Week 7 Research Project http://homeworklance.com/downloads/acct-429-week-7-research-project/ Performing tax research is an importa nt part of tax practice. As outlined in Chapter 2 of your textbook, tax law is developed through a number of different governmental entities. Congress enacts the tax Code as statutory law. The Treasury Department is tasked with the implementation of the tax Code and, in the course of doing so, develops a number of documents and materials to aid taxpayers in understanding the Treasury Department’s interpretation of the code, including the Regulations. In turn, the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) has the direct responsibility for implementing the tax Code and in assessing and collecting the applicable tax from taxpayers. In the course of its duties, it also develops a number of materials, including Revenue Rulings, Revenue Procedures, and Private Letter Rulings, in which it sets forth its understanding of the tax laws. Finally, the federal courts decide tax cases in which taxpayers contest the government’s interpretation of the tax laws. In deciding these cases, the federal courts set forth binding inte rpretation of what the tax laws provide. All of these materials (often called primary resources) are important resources in performing tax research. On top of these primary sources of tax law, there are a number of secondary materials provided by various organizations and publishers. These secondary materials......

Course Project Week 7

...Mini Paper I am at the midpoint of the completion towards the final project. I have created and provided a survey on Survey Monkey for all employees to participate in. A rating scale for each question was provided that displays the answers to each question, their responses and the rating scales. 5 of the 10 questions had an answer that went from either strongly agreeing to strongly disagreeing. The results were then weighted into a weighted average. At the end of the survey each employee also had an opportunity to provide their thoughts, feedback, and suggestions to the survey. The Survey is entitled Staff Survey. Each staff member was required to take a moment to complete the survey so administrators can get a better understanding of the staff’s thoughts regarding the programs that are being offered, the possible needs of the organization, as well as their overall feelings regarding the work environment and the organization as a whole. The survey consisted of 9 questions with sub-questions. Thirty-four staff members not including the administrative staff participated in the staff-survey. A separate survey for the administration, Board of Directors, parents, and students as well as people in the community will be conducted in separate future assessments. As stated in part two of the project, I am using three methods to assess the needs of the organization. The first completed process is the questionnaire which was given to each staff member that was not......
