...  My study skills are horrible but this time around I plan on trying to focus more and try not to study all at the last minute so that ill have plenty of time to review all material.   My time-management skills are pretty good. I don't like rushing to get things done, so I set a schedule so that everything gets completed.   I already have some college level experience so I know what my papers and assignments should look like.   With my first school I lacked the motivation. I was just going to school just because. I didnt have no real purpose either. This time around im more motivated because I want to complete this so that my son will see that he can do it to!   This is definitely not an obstacle for me because I love to write papers, and just doing my assignments. It motivates me more when I know I got it done and its college-level and on time.   Math is my weaker subject. So I plan to over come this by studying harder and receiving help from a couple of tutors and my instructors.   Test taking is also a strong skill for me so I tend not to worry that much about big test or test at all.   This obstacle is not really an obstacle for me. I am knowledgeable when it comes to computer and computer programs.   This is always an obstacle because I really do not like school, but I know I need school to get a better career. I plan to overcome this by staying positive, and working hard so that I do not fall behind or get discouraged....

...Freud believed that humans went through a series of stages in psychosexual development. Passing through these stages required the id's impulses to be controlled and resolved by the ego. However if the impulses were not satisfactorily resolved then the lingering unconscious conflicts could lead to psychological problems in later life. In the Oral Stage (birth to 18 months) the child is focused on the mouth as a way of seeking pleasure because of its requirement for nursing. If the child's weaning is traumatic, in later life any unresolved conflicts may manifest as a preoccupation with oral activities such as smoking, drinking, eating or bite his or her nails or chew pencils and pens. The Anal Stage (18 months to three years) is a time in which pleasure is based on eliminating and retaining bowel movements and gaining control over them. In terms of conflicts during this stage, the end result can be an obsession with cleanliness, perfection, and control (anal retentive) or they may become messy and disorganized slobs (anal expulsive). During the Phallic Stage (ages three to six) the attention witches to the genitals as boys and girls learn that they are differences between the genders and become aware of the similarities and differences between them and their parents. Freud believed that during this stage boys develop unconscious sexual desires for their mothers and come to see their fathers as rivals for her attention and affection. He also believed that boys develop a......

...Without understanding its value there’s nothing stopping co-workers from hurting each other’s feelings and damaging team efficiency to shameful degrees and new personal lows. This is why it greatly helps to “be specific rather than general, and “phrase problems for the group not just the individual” in order to conceive a interconnected network of people. (FTMO pg. 129) However, the biggest personal hurdle that one must overcome, and perhaps obviously so, is the selfishness. If all the personal agendas of the workplace came to light we wouldn’t cease to be astounded. In some cases these can be pretty blatant and in even more extremely subtle. The dog eat dog mentality must be eviscerated for more productive practices to thrive. Its just as much about strengthening the communication skills of the weakest members of a team, as checking the over reach of the more domineering character types that can dictate not only the direction, but the general morale. One that all team leaders have to deal with, for instance, is negative responses to criticism. After all, we live in a world where people aren’t as open minded as they probably should be. Positive reinforcement is a prime way to curve bad habits such as these as reasoning should be the saving grace is when most workplace conflicts pop their ugly heads. This reasoning should extend to a unanimous team members’ bill of rights. When a problem arises, it shouldn’t just be seen as such, but as an opportunity for the work unit to......

...I prefer thongs for butt flossing; they're much more fashionable and attractive. I used to love staring at the girls' thongs in high school during class. I noticed that I saw the most thongs in middle school, the next most in high school, and then the least in college. You would probably think that it would be the other way around but alas, only women know why they do what they do. I could probably speak at length about my experiences with looking at girls' thongs while going through each year of school. Every guy reading this knows that it was just too much all at once for us teenage boys to handle. Going through puberty, being horny as fuck, and developing sexual and romantic feelings for girls that used to have cooties was intensely interesting and enjoyable at the time. For the girls to then place their newfound sexuality right there in our faces in school each day by wearing thongs was just incredible. Sadly, the proliferation of thongs did not continue unabated up through college and they went the way of the dinosaur, the bald eagle, and boy bands as far as sightings were concerned. If you really needed a fix, you could always go to the catholic school dances each Friday night where all of the out-of-control 7th grade White girls from my town and the town over would flood the gym with their thongs, lip gloss, and spaghetti straps on. The chaperones never used to check for butt cheek bifurcation or say much about their dress code and wouldn't kick the girls out for......

...QUESTION 1 QUESTION 1.1 What are the potential economic benefits of the trucking provisions in the NAFTA treaty? Transporting goods will be more efficient, and therefor more cost effective, as goods would no longer need to be off-loaded from one truck and reloaded onto another at the Mexican/US border. An increase in competition in the transport market would also result in a cost reduction. Another economic benefit, not directly related to the trucking provisions, is the reduction in tariffs. QUESTION 1.1 Who benefits? The greater efficiencies, competition and tariff reductions would benefit the citizens of the US and Mexico. QUESTION 2 QUESTION 2.1 What do you think motivated the Teamsters to object to the trucking provisions in NAFTA? The teamsters claimed that Mexican truck drivers had poor safety records, that Mexican trucks did not adhere to the strict safety and environmental standards of the US and that the limits on the hours a driver can spend behind the wheel are ignored in Mexico thereby giving the Mexican truck drivers an unfair cost advantage. We are of the opinion that the biggest motivation for the Teamsters objecting to the trucking provisions is the increase in competition from Mexican trucking companies in their market which would undoubtedly result in reduced profits. QUESTION 2.2 Are these objections fair? We do not feel that the objections regarding the safety standards of the Mexican trucks are fair as the trucks had to pass strict......

...Tech Update For my tech update, i chose a topic in which i have had personal run-ins with. I HATE going to the movie theaters, especially here in Cookeville where the choices are limited, and finding out that the movie i want to watch is only offered in 3-D or RealD. Wearing the glasses give me a headache, and it takes forever for my eyes to focus. My mind is constantly aware of me watching this 3-D movie and i cannot enjoy it. My mother has actually had to leave the movie for the images making her sick, and during a movie i was very excited to see. I have been searching for a solution and finally found one. They are called 2-D glasses. They convert the 3-D images back to normal so that you do not have to suffer through flashing images, headaches, and nausea. I have a pair, and while in the movie theater, it is just like wearing a regular pair of light tinted sunglasses. And they look exactly like the 3-D glasses as well so no one will ever know, if you so desire. How it Works: It is an extremely simple solution. 3-D images work because two separate images are displayed onscreen at the same time making the screen blurry, and each lense blocks out a different image, causing the illusion of a 3 dimensional shape in theaters. Well with 2-D glasses, both lenses block the same image, so that this blurry film, now becomes 2 dimensional film once again. A picture simulation is added at the end of this report. A gentleman named Hank Green designed these because his wife......

...imperialist-colonialism of the late 19th and early 20th century. Ever since the rise of neo-colonialism in the post World War II era, it has preferred more indirect methods of domination, by relying on local surrogates and economic compulsion. It is expressed that the United States government is no longer governed by the will of the people. It stands to the people of the land to rein in such intolerable acts, and stand against the corporations and special interests that have made our nation so hated. For those who think that their vote doesn't count, that is exactly what the corporations want you to think. That we as a nation is powerless to stop them. Our government is not a failing country; we are failing to maintain our government as it should be. It is also expressed that the United States is the world's most powerful nation, there are limited resources in the world and wars over them are inevitable. It could be worst then it is now. After watching Chomsky video on United States imperialism, a couple of questions was brought up in my head. What will you say to the people who have suffered by the ones we have put in power? Do you think most of the world has the power we do, to not only vote in our leaders, but to vote in the leaders for the most powerful and influential nation in the world? These questions and many more questions are ones that should be taken in consideration and looked at. Imperialism isn’t over and it isn’t in the past. It is still alive and well in......
